Jazz VS Dallas Game Thread - WE WON!!!!!!

I don't think most players would feel this way. They're used to catching a ball coming at them from years of in-game situations. I'm not sure how often they really shoot froma rack, if ever.
I wonder why they don't have someone passing them the ball in the three point comp

All I know is that they were 6/9 at one point and it seemed like they couldn't miss.

If you were watching the first quarter and the beginning of the second and saying 'yep, this seems about normal.' Then I guess we have nothing more to talk about.

I wasn't. I was specifically referring to their percentage (52.9%) when you first brought up 70%. At that point, with how they were able to consistently generate wide open looks for really good 3 point shooters, it wasn't strange.

You are so hung up on exactly when I said it. They went cold. But at one point it was way higher than 53%.

You said you weren't thinking that it was normal, but also that you didn't find it strange. Which is it?

I imagine it's because the idea is to shoot from five different spots on the floor. The rack keeps them in those spots. If someone passed the ball, the shooter could sort of drift away from spots some (and that would be too tough to regulate I imagine) and it wouldn't be the same.

“There’s a different rhythm to it, for sure,” Redick said. “Even when I do spot shots, it’s like a mini-footwork thing that I do. So I’m practicing my footwork going different ways, even in just a small confined space. In a rack, you’re kind of just yanking and throwing it up there.”

Redick's quote talking about the 3-point contest

I think we were talking about shooting the ball quickly. Something players in real life nba games do and guys in the three point competition do.

I was saying that many NBA players are perfectly capable of hitting 70%+ on threes in practice. That may, or may not, be relevant to whatever discussion you were having. Not paying attention.

I would shoot better grabbing a ball from a rack (since it's not moving and I don't even have to catch it) than a ball being passed to me (sometimes coming fast, sometimes slow. Sometimes high, sometimes low)

Sounds like a Dr, Seuss rhyme. One ball, two ball, brown ball, money ball.

These refs are garbage. I have a real hard time with these late touch foul calls. The one on parsons was called by the ref on the opposite side of the floor and literally could not have seen anything at all... Bush league.

I have no idea how the eff these guys are so open but we better fix that **** now. It'd also be nice if a couple guys would click on and make some shots.

These refs are terrrrrrible. Please show me where Gobert hit Wes?
