At 29 Wins and 34 losses ,the Jazz sit at the 12th pick in the Draft. That can get the Jazz a good pick.

I have Skal Labissiere as the Jazz pick.He is super skilled and talented and if he goes against Gobert and Favors everyday in practice ,he can be pretty damn good and potentially give the Jazz a rim protector every minute of the game.

#1 Philadelphia.......Ben Simmons /a frontline of Embiid,Saric and Simmons, what about Noel and Okafor
#2 LA lakers...........Brandon Ingram /Russell ,Clarkson,Ingram,Randle .... a core
#3 Phoenix ............Dragan Bender / Len,Bender,Warren,Booker,Knight.... their young lineup
#4 Boston .............Jaylen Brown / Ainge always goes with best talent available
#5 Minnesota..........Jamal Murray / maybe Minn needs a back up plan for Rubio,....Murray ?
#6 NO Pelicans.........Buddy Hield / resign Anderson ,draft Hield for Davis ,maybe things look more better
#7 Sac Kings............Kris Dunn / How long is Rondo tolerated
#8 Toronto .............Henry Ellenson / Lowry,Derozan,Valenciunas,....Weak at PF ,Ellenson can really help
#9 Denver ..............Ivan Rabb / Gallinari hurt again ,Faried a bit undersized
#10 Milwaukee..........Jacob Poeltl / Milwaukees best shotblocker now plays PG ,Poeltl fits nicely
#11 Orlando ............ Diamond Stone / Great young core,Vucevic,Gordon,Hezonja,Oladiop,Payton,,add Stone

#12 Utah ................Skal Labissiere / Too much skill and talent to pass on,would set Jazz frontcourt for years

If we're that close, move up for Poeltl or Dunn imo. They'd fill big holes in different respects and can each really score, something we sorely need.

Orlando has 2 less Wins and though Vucevic is a great score and rebounder. If Poeltl dropped to #10 I could easily see Orlando grab him to back up Vucevic and give them a rim protector and additional rebounder

Can I choose neither? I hate both options at this point. Get to the playoffs and lose in 4. Get a late first round pick and get another "project" to add to the cake mix. Not a huge fan of either. Trying to stay engaged this season has been difficult. XOXO

Assuming we trade Burke...this is what we're looking like

Exum-upgrade at backup pg-Neto
Hood-Burks
Hayward-rookie (Valentine?)
Favors-Lyles
Gobert-Withey

Seriously, how deep does a team have to be to compete? If we get a legit rookie (Valentine for argument's sake) and sign a solid backup point guard (I think Neto is more of a 3rd string guy), this team should have quite enough depth imo. We're basically adding Exum, Burks and Valentine and losing Burke.

If the lottery pick and backup point guard are really good shooters .. sweet .. If not more of the same next season

Or at least some known bench contribution.

Well do you remember when the Pacers traded their late teens pick for George Hill? That made them an instant contender. They had Hibbert (our Gobert), West (our Favors), Paul George (our Hayward)... they needed a PG. That team was contending but they had to break it up when Paul George broke his leg.

I think we need to do something similar ... (but obviously only if there isn't a Kawhi Leonard hidden in the draft somewhere).

I see no point in getting the eighth spot
Jazz get destroyed by Warriors
Possible mental setback for young team
Jazz need to continue to stockpile talent
Maybe get very lucky at the #12 pick and others
Jazz are not going to get a franchise alpha dog player
Jazz need to win with team concept play
Jazz need to sign a free agent or two to add to the mix
Even then that may not be enough

For me playoffs are far more exciting. I don't follow draft prospects so I couldn't really care less until the player is on the team.
