What's new

Don't stone me...

Patience, we need to have patience. As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day. Yes, this season has been disappointing but we have seen a lot of growth from Hood, Lyles, and Neto, and we obtained a good backup point guard. Rudy has been a disappointment but I'm sure his injury has been a factor. Plus the injuries to both Favors and Burks, plus Exum, so we're lucky to be in the playoff hunt. We probably have learned more from losing those close games than we would've if we won them and got the 5th seed.

hmm.. Y'all think PHX would swap Len-Knight and the #2 pick for Hayward, Rudy and #15 ?? Pretty sure PHX would hang up the phone.

Not sure I would even do that one.

Not sure I would even do that one.

What if they threw in Archie Goodwin??

PHX can't do it IMO, too risky.. what if the Jazz land a good young ROY contender like Simmons or Ingram and Hayward walks next season?? Their GM will look really dumb and wouldn't survive the offseason.

Len's restricted and Knight has 4 more years on his deal.. The #2 pick means either Ingram or Simmons.

Utah would actually get younger..

It's highly unlikely PHX could play Chandler/Gobert as they do Chandler/Len though.. Still that roster would be damn interesting.. They could start Bledsoe, Booker, Hayward, Warren, Gobert..

There's no way I'd do that trade, pgab. No ****ing way.

Is it just because you think the talent doesn't add up?? A move like this would certainly increase the teams flexibility, and would probably end up saving them some $$ (at least for a few seasons)

Brandon Knight and Rodney Hood would probably put up 40ppg.

The Jazz roster would easily be one of the leagues cheapest and would look something like

Knight-Hood-Ingram-Favors-Len
Exum-Burks/Goodwin-Burks/Ingles-Lyles-Withey

They'll have the $$ to keep Len long-term, resign Derrick Favors in the summer of 2018, and match any offers for Exum and Hood in the summer of 2019 without an issue.

You couldn't get enough value back in such a trade.

They wouldn't be able to get Towns, AD, Westbrook, Curry, LeBron, Durant or Kawhi. And they would need to get one of them to make it worth it. Say Chicago strikes gold in the lottery and gets a top 3 overall, maybe you consider such a deal for Butler, top 3 and somebody (Portis, McDermott) - but then Chicago probably doesn't do that deal either.

Kristaps and a Knicks top 7 pick? Not sure the Knicks would agree to it, and not sure the Jazz should do it even if they did.
