What's new

Denver Nuggets @ Utah Jazz 3/3 8:30PM MST

Another call that was horrible was the foul on Harris for backing away from Lawson on That layup.

The call is the same call it would be if there was 11:58 left in the first and there is a "jump ball situation" where a player is touching the ball while he's out of bounds...the player who's out of bounds is whistled for out of bounds and possession is given to the other team. The rule doesn't change when there is 1 second left in the fourth....

i'm not saying the rule changes, just that i don't know what it is. and it might be different in the jumpball situation.

LOL at fans blaming the refs for this one.

Yes.... It's the refs' fault that the other team has shooters and we don't...
It's the refs' fault that the other team plays defense and we don't...

How many more times do we need to see this movie?

Jazz get nothing out of Bell.
Opposing SG goes off.
Al fights tough inside despite not being all that athletic.
CJ chucks.
Earl does nothing.
Elson fumbles a pass.
Fess gets blocked by the rim.
Millsap cries about a foul.
AK loses control of the ball and flaps his arms yelling "AIII!"
Hayward looks good and fans complain about him not playing enough.
The Jazz refuse to draw fouls while the other team does.
jazz play hard to bring the game close, only to fumble the game away in the final minutes with Duron, CJ, Devin, Al, AK, and Jefferson mistaking the other team for teammates.

And the Jazz lose.

And yet some people still want to blame the refs.

sigh...

Come on folks, we are who we are. A bad team. We have some nice pieces. But we're just not a good team. We haven't been for a long time. In fact, taking that remarkable 4 game road trip we had at the beginning of the year, we've sucked.

Explains almost every game this whole season. We like 6 nice pieces maximum and the rest is garbage.

andrei had the ball in his hands, while km stuck his hand on it enough for andrei to lose the handle a bit. refs did Utah a favor by not calling anything cause Andrei still sould have made it.

game was called totally in denvers favor though.
terrible fouls called on harris and Jeffs at the and.
Denver had hardly any fouls on them most of the game.
plenty of contact on all the Jazz front line players could have been called.

Just got back, knew Afflalo's shot was going in when he released , dude is so clutch. If we make a serious run at him we knew to look into that.

Some awfully questionable calls though. Obviously two that stand out Lawson falling over trying to draw a foul and failing bad, but still somehow getting it. And also the Millsap one was straight up terrible. Paul's face said it all.

i'm not saying the rule changes, just that i don't know what it is. and it might be different in the jumpball situation.

Well, "jump ball"...or whatever... say for example, two players from opposing teams go for a rebound and one player lands out of bounds while touching the ball (that happens to also be being touched by the other teams player in bounds) ... the ref should look down at the feet and see that the one player is out of bounds, blow the whistle, call out of bounds, and give it to the other team.

The technical foul I think everyone is talking about is not when AK and KMart (who's out of bounds) are both touching the ball..but before that happened..KMart bobbled the ball and touched it himself (ie. passing the ball into himself, which is considered a technical)... either way, the play NEEDED to be reviewed the the right call needed to be made.

Whether it's a tech and Jazz get 1 shot and the ball...or if it's just an out of bound possession for the Jazz with 1 second-ish on the clock. The Jazz should have had a shot at tying/winning this game, but obviously, the NBA hates Utah and the Jazz and if we're lucky, after enough uproar about it tomorrow when everyone sees the replay, we'll get an "apology" from the league and still a big fat "L" in the win-loss column. FML.
