All is not lost ...

As much as the ending of the Denver game tore my heart out, I realized that sometimes chemistry takes longer for some then others. Denver players seem to have vibed quicker than our guys. Devin Harris looks confused out there and we coughed up the ball way too much out there toward the end. We had that game but Ty lawson drew that phantom foul or else we would have won. Give us time guys, we can still make the playoffs. However, I wish we would have gotten Ronnie Brewer back instead of Raja over the hill Bell !

I think Denver is glad the melo trade finally happened while we were in shock that Deron got dealt. Not to mention we have a new coach.

I do like the effort we have been showing, regardless of the loses.

I think we need to keep AK, provided he signs a realistic/cheap extension with us. He's seems to be playing a lot better since Deron is gone.

When he is on he is good, but he does this every year. He did this last year, we thought he was coming around then he ether comes back to reality or gets hurt trade him keep Millsap.

I think you are on to something here. This team definitely needs time. This is basically a whole different team than we started the season with and we are likely to make quite a few more changes this off season.

The only player's I think are almost 100% to come back are:
Jefferson
Favors
Harris
Hayward
Evans (small contract worth the wait)

Likely to come back unless a deal is worked out would be:
CJ
Bell
Millsap
AK
Watson
Memo

Unlikely to be brought back
Fess
Elson
Price

If all of the guys in the middle category come back I will be shocked. I expect at least 4-5 new players on this team next year.

With Millsap a lot will depend on who we draft. Lets say we did draft Kanter, got to believe one of our bigs would be traded for a wing then.

kirilenko kills me with his turnovers.

just in the last 3 games he has had 12 turnovers..

that would be bad even if he was the guy assigned to be the primary ball handler, which he isn't...

he tries to dribble, and bounces the ball up to his head, and turns it over, and i break my remote.

I would actually put Millsap up there as the least likely to return from that group. Besides Watson who may just choose not to return. With Favors and AJ on the team, and Millsap wanting to be a starter, it just seems like his time in Utah may be coming to an end.

I do think either Bell or Miles will also be gone.

With Miles we could simply not pick up his option. Would give us close to 4 million to spend. Granted if we get two lottery picks might just use the money to sign them.

That may be the route they choose to take. I doubt it though. I think Raja is the bigger problem and he will also be less willing to stick around for a rebuild. I think they pick up that option and trade or buy out Raja. Either way though I don't think they both return.

For the love of all that is holy...DON'T BRING AK BACK! I am so tired of his act..."I'll play really hard for a couple of weeks, stub my toe and be out for two more". I am tired of his inconsistency, and you can bet your bottom dollar, as soon as he gets his new contract, back to the same old AK.

I know I am in the minority, but I would love to have AK back at somewhere between 5 and 8 million per. I think he is great despite his turnovers. I also think that he will open up his offense a little more now that D-Will is gone.

Clearly, still our best wing. Either though Corbin forgot that last night. We will see what kind of dough he wants.

I am indifferent to AK so I don't care anymore. It has a lot to do with who we draft and if AK is willing to take a substantial pay cut. If I had to choose I am leaning towards not wanting him back.

Me too. And the substantial pay cut in my eyes would have to be a yearly average salary of around $4M, or in other words, the contract that CJ is on right now. He's just too damn sporadic and injury prone to pay more than that.

I think this depends on how we close out the season. If we are able to make the playoffs, we should consider getting AK back to stay competitive next season to continue to develop the young squad.

If we are not making the playoffs this year, we should start clean and let our young wings (Hayward and the two rookies) play. We should be able to turn into a contender again in a few years, if we draft right (that's a big if).
