What's new

Here's a video to get you excited about Hood and the team nest season!

If Hill doesn't stay, then they have a clear point. If he does, then they have absolutely zero ground.

Hill's agent made it pretty clear to the Jazz that Hill would want to stay long-term. I don't think you turn down a trade for a really good player because you're afraid he's lying.

That wasn't clear when the trade was announced, though. So, even though I've been a huge fan of Hill for a while, I also had my reservations at first. Once he and his agent made that gesture, though, the only reasonable thing to do was to get ****ing stoked for this trade (with your fingers crossed that it does indeed workout long-term).

Hood's going to be a real nice player for years to come, right now I just want him to be more consistent

Watching this, I think Hood has a lot he can improve on to become a dominant offensive player. His dribble seems a little high for one. I'm not an expert, so maybe its just my perception, but I think he can improve that and get to the basket even easier. He is still pretty thin, so added strength will help that as well. He has a smooth shot, and I think he can and will become a more consistent shooter as well. Hopefully he improves defensively as well as he has the length to be a very good defender.

Good post. I have always thought his dribble is too high but surprisingly it doesn't seem to hurt him much. I see him get into the paint with that high dribble pretty easily somehow.

Just watched the video. Damn that jumpshot is sweet. The elevation and high release are awesome. Textbook prototype jumpshot.
Love me some Rodney hood. Can't even be mad that he gets the starting job over my boy.

Regarding the high dribble.... I think he uses his body well to shield the ball from the defender so the high dribble doesn't hurt as much.

Can't wait for next year

It could just be his length, but I think he could be really dominant if he can improve his dribble and add some strength. Strangely, he seems to dribble lower with his R hand than his left hand despite being L handed.

Edit: After continuing to watch, he is much better with his R hand dribbling. He also just seems to get by going into the lane, then uses his long legs to step around whoever he needs to once he is in the paint.

I think his future is extremely bright... Then again I always seem to be too high on our young guys.
I expected favors, kanter, hayward, and Burks (the "core 4") all to be better than they are right now lol.

I'm doing the same thing again with rudy, hood and lyles. I will never learn
