Dude hasn't really even played in like 14 months and is noticeably better. That's scary.
His one baseline take to the rim for a layup last game vs. Dallas was damn impressive. I actually did a double take and thought to myself, Damn Hill is that explosive? And then I saw that it was Dante. He never did anything that even close to resembled that as a frosh. A year of experience and a summer under his belt and dude could be really effing good next year.
DL said they are purposefully bringing him along slowly this year.

His rookie year he played like I do on offense. He hung out around the three point line and took open shots. The reason I play that way is because I'm not very good. I think Dante did it because he lacked confidence that he could do aanything.
This year hes not playing like I do. He drives past the primary defender at will. He struggles with the second defender/ rim protector, but has found clever ways to score.
Is he athletic enough to dunk on people? Is it a lack of confidence? Lack of strength? He looks skinny and narrow shouldered sometimes.
Also, his rookie year I had season tickets but no cable, this year I got DISH instead of tickets. Seeing him on TV he looks extremely winded. Like no NBA player I've ever seen. Was he this bad his rookie year? I remember talk of him being a "mouth breather" (literally, not like Stranger Things) but now he looks like a chest heaving mouth breather (also similar to my game...)
I don't mean to be down on him. He's looking better. Hes not as good as I was hoping hed be when we drafted him, but I think the main thing he is missing is aggression and confidence. I can be patient for another season or so. I guess we are better off if he comes along slowly so he gets an Alec Burks like contract after his rookie deal. Slow development is the key, because if we have to max him, we will have to lose an asset to keep him.
Yesterday David Locke said he could be a George Hill some day. I was pretty disappointed with that. I think he can be more.

I havent been able to see may Jazz games this year due to work, does anyone know where I might be able to see some of his good plays from this year?
He was aggressive going to the basket last night, so was Hood.
Exum's last couple games have been very negative in the plus minus, if that means anything.

It doesn't. He's 21 and we're missing a bunch of guys and we've played very good opponents.

He needs to do that 2 or 3 times a game. If someone matches him at the rim, we should have 2 trailers just parking behind the 3 point line and he can find them.
