No logical reason Exum can't be the first PG Quin gets off the bench. If he sucks then Quin can play Mack next time Hill needs a blow in the game. Otherwise, ride Exum. Mack is a cold fish.

Exum has a better PER, BPM, VORP, WS, scores more off less shots, rebounds better, turns the ball over less, Better TS%, and a bunch of other stuff.
Shelvin does have a better Net off/def rating, passing better and statistically seemingly playing better defense. But I think Exum is a better passer and defender (I dont like defensive stats unless its for the team) and time will show that.
Its easy to justify that Exum is currently a better player with a much bigger upside. But there are reasons to play Mack beyond increasing his trade value but it seems short sighted, especially since neither is going to be that big of a factor in us winning or losing right now.
We can't waste another year of this guy because Mack gives us "toughness".
As long as the Jazz keep winning and avoid a bad stretch, Exum is screwed. Really doesn't matter how Mack plays. Jazz win, Quin keeps Exum on the bench. Simple as that.
I don't think Exum is screwed .With his speed and length at PG,add some more muscle and he's going to be a stud BB player for someone and be paid for it ,hopefully for the Jazz and not another team where he explodes out big time
