what hot garbage are those articles? sportrageous? Seriously?

It's not hot garbage, it's probably accurate. Not every article is written for hardcore fans who already know these things. A Zach Lowe article was just written on teh Jazz and their fear of keeping the team intact, so the timing of the article makes sense. I dont think anything the writer said was inaccurate. It's just old news.

I'm sure that Boston has interest in Hayward. I'm positive that the Jazz have no interest in trading Hayward. The Jazz are in win now mode. The author has no clue that the Jazz would laugh at anything Boston could offer right now, regardless of whether the Jazz think Hayward will opt out. So while some of the content, i.e. Boston might want Hayward, makes sense there is absolutely no real rumor of "Hayward to Boston."

Nah, stitches is right. Trash article from a trash site. Sportrageous is one of several sites that just flat out makes stuff up and then calls it a rumor.

No doubt Danny Ainge would like to acquire Gordon, but as of now, Utah ain't "scared" as the article suggests. Utah has not only a better team, but considerably so, and they can also sign Hayward to a better contract. Really, the only thing Boston has going is the link between Stevens and Hayward, and it's not likely Gordon puts winning and money below playing for his old coach.

The article also states that trading for Hayward makes them title contenders. Lol. I love Hayward, but he alone doesn't suddenly make Boston a title contender. He has a much better chance staying with what he has in Utah.

Boston having interest in Hayward is old news. Somewhere between 25 and 30 teams in the league would love to have Hayward. That's not even news. What' ****ty in those articles is the heavy implication that the Jazz are shaking in their boots because of the possibility they lose Hayward and heavily imply they are so scared that they will trade him so they won't lose him for nothing. This is complete and utter BS. The Jazz will NOT trade Hayward, no matter how worried they are. You don't build this team to trade your star before you even try competing... Pretty much the only scenario I see where we trade Hayward is if he point blank tells DL - I'm out in the summer, don't even call me on July 1st.

Yep, they get some writer's trade IDEAS and reprint them as rumors. There were some more Hayward and Favors 'rumors' like that a while ago. And when you follow the traces and references you come to articles like "X(national writer)'s ideas about how team Y can become contender?"

It sounds like you read the article while being way too emotional. It simply stated that Boston wants Hayward and there is a push within the orginization to get deals done and Hayward is a target. The writer even included a Woj bit that said the Jazz feel strongly they can keep him.

Yes it's old news, but it goes hand and hand with the Zach Lowe piece. The Jazz are getting more attention so Hayward is getting more attention so this story gains relevance.
