Casspi on the block?

With less playing time these days, Kings second-year forward Omri Casspi made it clear he would welcome a new opportunity next season.

"I know that there are many teams, including some playoff teams, that want me ahead of next season," Casspi said. "I hope to find myself in a team that appreciates me as a player and a person, a team that plays like a team.

"I haven't played in a while and coach came up to me and told me he's going in different direction – and he's not going my direction," Casspi said. "So I'm not mad at nobody or trying to cry about not playing, but it is what it is."

Off the top of my head, I think he'd be a nice player to have considering his age, experience, and things he has brought to the table (I admit I have not followed him closely this year). Is he worth pursuing and what might it cost?

I proposed a trade a few days ago for casspi. He is young and would be a great bench talent. My proposal was part of a trade for harris

I have a hard time buying into players who look good on terrible teams. I'm not saying I wouldn't want him; just don't over trade. Can you tell AK's contract haunts me?

Casspi's not a star, though. Players that play hard, rebound, hit 3s, and defend almost always translate. That's what he was last year anyway. The Israeli Matt Harpring is how I've heard him described.

If the Kings our really hurt for Cash they might ask us to trade Memo and his insurance paid contract for a combo of either Udrich or Garcia with Casspi possibly with a little cash added. I do think Casspi would be a great long term piece, I like Gallenari better but Casspi is as close as your get to Gallenari. But depending on the deal I either love it or hate it! Like Evans for Casspi ='s love it. Miles for Casspi ='s hate it. Plus, I'd like to see who Utah drafts to and if they resgin AK as well
