He should be more assertive, Rudy would've been more entertaining.. It looks like he's got the mindset of I'm gonna pass the ball and see if it gets passed back.

This is why Rudy will never make it. The players know he will be who he is and get 20 blocks during the all star game. Since they just want to have dunk after dunk they will lobby for him to never make it. It would ruin their boring boring fun.
People dont go for blocks because no one wants to injure someone in an exhibition game.

I've been thinking about this and the key reason I think is 'injury'.
They could have made it the winning team gets $200,000 to give to charity - but then you risk unnecessary injuries to teams' best players. If your team only has 1 good player then that's gonna suck.
The cost of injuries I guess outweighs the benefit of an exciting exhibition game.
Top Polynesian is a toss up between Jabari and Steven Adams.
The only thing they need to do with the All-Star game is make it shorter. 10 minutes quarters w/ a running clock (until the last few minutes if the game is close).
