Following potential 2017 draftees...

I would too actually. As it stands right now I don't think either get drafted. When Trimble declared there was coinciding 'reports' that some execs think he's going in the 2nd rd.. we'll see tho..
They were saying that during the McDs game. So dumb. No way he gets drafted.

Thoughts on Ivan Rabb? Sometimes I think he'll be fine because he's a good rebounder and that is supposed to translate. But then you watch him play defense and get bullied in the post, and it gets worse when he gets switched onto a guard...I think Kanter might slide his feet better than Rabb. Offense is raw too, but with a pick in the 20s, is a good rebounder and lob-catcher good enough with that kind of pick? I think he's the kind of player who will look a lot better with NBA talent too.

Melo Trimble did himself a great disservice not declaring after his FR. year, he's always been old for the class too, which compounds the error..

Ivan Rabb would be a steal. I've posted before that I just think, somehow, someway that kid is gonna find his niche. He's not Chris Bosh but he's really got a lot of the same qualities. I said it years ago and it still rings true, he reminds me of David Lee.

He's a winner and he's always been the PF and the C on all of his teams.. the last line of defense.. There's very much a possibility that he's gonna be on sale in this draft.. Certainly he'd have been a lotto pick last year..

Ivan Rabb is clearly and has been for quite some time, a big fish in a small pond... So if you're talking integrating him here in Utah, where we have Rudy the Leviathan and a 270lb PF/C Derrick Favors, it'll be very much like that big fish in a small pond finding the ocean, but he's also gonna join a school of fish with some grizzled veteran enforcers, which is perfect for him because he's sorta got a skinny-big type of game.. Much of this applies to Harry Giles and Utah as well..

Dr. Jones is there a favorite between Mark Smith and Thomas Allen??

I'm sure Smith could function in that Briscoe type of role on the o-boards and with the rebounding on next years squad that'd probably be the best coach cal squad on the boards since 2012..

I know you've said you want more shooters.. well thats Allen.. I haven't seen too much footage on either, but Allen certainly reminds me of Eric Davis at Texas.

He's much more one-dimensional and certainly doesn't seem to have the same type of pro potential.. I say, bring on the firepower tho.. most of the other stuff is taken care of..

Just for the record. Mitchell Robinson is in fact a Hassan Whiteside style athlete at 7-foot..

He's gonna end up way out of the Jazz range. There's big changes in my next 2018 mock and he's gonna go near the top-5.

Interesting to see who Phil Jackson will pick with the Knicks pick (currently 6th).

Say what you will about Phil, he did get the Porzingis pick right.

Would he pair Fox with Porzingis? Or would he grab Monk and groom him as his new Kobe/MJ?

Word is they want (and need) Josh Jackson.
