What do you make of how these 2 games have started?

Prolonged scoring droughts right off the bat.. Wish I had a picture of Joe Ingles face after one of the early timeouts, it said all ya need to know.. totally dejected just a few minutes into the game..

I hate to say it, i'm not trying to incite a defensive response. Just calling a spade a spade. They're getting punked in the 1st quarter..

I almost want to presume that Quinn and them are focusing too much on technical aspects and instead should be giving em a Knute Rockne speech.

Hayward DID step up in this game to close it out, too little too late tho, U can't spot the Warriors that many points.. Thats like spotting prime Lennox Lewis early points in a title fight..like the fight vs David Tua or an early injury to target like the Vitali Klitschko fight, he's gonna keep that advantage and exacerbate it 99/100 times. I still say tho when the **** is hitting the fan he's silent, and part of these starts IS CERTAINLY on him.. Just picture if you swapped Hayward for LeBron and that start happened, He'd have the ball, he'd take the game into his own hands, collapse the defense and make the right play/read. Hayward isn;t nearly equipped to do such a thing as Lebron but part of those tools is in fact GUMPTION.

When you start like that and you're the Warriors its like watching the opponent crumble because of the shadow you cast. Gratifying is an understatement, u start to smell blood right away.

You're now in the palm of their hand. They sense the kill, it's now just 1 big run from being a total blowout (which Utah avoided -- did they really need to have their bell rung like that to wake up tho... It's like some Rocky ******** movie, take a beating early and then try to score a roaring comeback - that seems to be the plan)

Then they can adjust their rotations, take it easy a bit, make sure dudes are rested if the opponent does make a run. They have Draygoon out there as the enforcer all the time anyways who's a one man army of intensity, which is infectious (they have other intense players in their own right such as Iguodala too)

Crowd. Nerves.

Isn't that why these guys get paid millions tho? to perform/play a game in-front of these crowds? they played 89 GRUELING games to get to this point and thats how they started..

Isn't that why Lindsey made these moves for the vets, to obviate exactly that?

This is why I like boxing. You'd never hear such pathetic excuses bandied about by a real FIGHTER.

You're supposed to be zoned in, focused on the task at hand, to me, sounds like a lack of focus, which is INEXCUSABLE, even for just a few minute stretch..

This is the best team in the league, conduct yourself with some pride goddamnit. these 1st quarters and even opening sequences have been nothing short of pathetic.

If I owned the Jazz I'd hire R. Lee Ermey to come in for a pregame speech just to berate everyone. Once the game begun and the margin blew up the word for the Jazz reaction was, i'd say, sheltered.

Ermey; "whats your excuse?"

Hayward/Lindsey; "Sir, excuse for what, sir?"

Ermey; "I'm asking the ****ing questions here, Gordon/Dennis, do you understand?"

Hayward/Lindsey; "Sir, yes Sir"

Ermey; "Well thank you very much, can I be in charge for a while?"

Hayward/Lindsey; "Sir, yes Sir"

Ermey; "Are you shook up, are you nervous?

Hayward/Lindsey; "Sir, I am Sir"

Ermey; Do I make you nervous?

Yeah, If only Snyder were like those other coaches not trying to win in the playoffs...

I'm not citing just the effort, my issue is much more with faulty tactics and the execution. (by Lindsey for years, and now by Snyder in this series)

I think the Jazz ought to start off, very physical. Really take it to them. In fact, the Warriors are doing this, especially with Rudy, and the refs are not calling it. Still, the fouls will slow things down from the start and force a slower pace which is to the Jazz advantage. We have enough bench strength to do it. This is the only way to beat them and stop acting like a deer in their headlights.

I think the Warriors' plan is to be real physical with Rudy and push him around. I saw Curry knock into or crack Rudy a couple of times when running through the paint following his own man -- kind of punk moves if you ask me, but the refs never blinked. To me, he is kind of a punk. Need to take him out of his game with physicality like they do with Dante. Of course, he can play through it while Dante isn't strong enough yet. Remember, Curry is what, 29, so at the prime of his athletic career.

Rudy needs to strengthen his legs so that he isn't so easily pushed around.

To me this series will always be remembered as; .The Shelvin "Win-now" Mack Show.

Even in the 1st game blowout ,Snyder had Mack running the point for Exum and Lyles ,how the hell they suppose to learn anything when Mack is over dribbling the ball ?

Their is no potential wins down the road if Mack is running the show ,he can't stay in front of the PG in front of him.

But I already knew the vets can keep the score close and respectful but a younger athletic team would be their downfall. The vets were suppose to be complimentary pieces but Snyder stuck them into main components slots with the minute distribution.

Snyder failed into getting Exum and Lyles ready to be in the rotation with his over reliance with Mack.Mack personifies the slowness of the vets with his own play. This series cries out the Jazz need Exum and Lyles and Burks speed in contesting the Warriors.I had hoped the veterans experience and savvy would have combined with younger players athleticism but it turned into the Shelvin Mack win at the expense of the younger players contributing.

I like where you're going but it seems u are holding the jazz to a double-standard when you say you wnt them to play physical but call the Warriors physicality a punk move..

did you see the Celtics-Wizards game before this? The playoffs are called differently. This is war.. These assholes on TV all claimed that Olynyk screen was clean, but clearly he targeted Oubre's head... This is the type of **** that goes on.. Thats why the move was to pack it up this year and fight another day.. This team is woefully unequipped to go further than this.. they're the lowest seed left, I guess thats the big consolation prize...

To be fair tho Rudy did have a cheap foul called on him right away, some of them were blatant on him tho..

Also Hayward has been taking advantage of this probably better than anyone on the team. He's gotten away with at least 10 offensive fouls, using whats called the chicken wing. Even in the final minutes he displaced Iguodala with one and drained a 3.

What are these faulty tactics. What would you have done to help your team win this that they did not?

Can yall imagine if we had this retard during the Corbin era? Good thing he's not an actual jazz fan.

I can only conclude that it's in fact all about appeasing Hayward. there was a TV Interview that QS had during the Clippers series where he was making excuses for Gordon, that to me also seemed to be in line with the appeasement.

I'd cut the rotation even further. Players like Rudy and Hayward (and Hill LOL) gotta just get breathers not their standard rest. I'm not leaving Rudy on the bench for more than a minute if they're on a run/getting to the basket.

They're outmatched, u gotta keep the best matchups on the floor. I'd tell em u want the big $$$, the fame, the notoriety, the glory, the legacy - Go earn it.

I'd play the 1st quarter of game 1 like the 4th quarter of game 7... I'd have told the team were ****ing dead if we don't steal one of these first 2 games...

To me, thats what the capacity of the threat dictates..

He'd be serving them Aminu in five different ways.

Dude if I was in charge of personnel you're talking about a whole different monster. You'd have to pinpoint a time of my takeover. Even if it was just before the 2016 draft (which obviously is too late for Aminu)the average age of the team would be about 3½ years younger.. so it's an apples and oranges conversation. I swear they'd have still made the playoffs with my roster.. and I'd have been able to work under the constricts of this obscene penny pinching. Instead of all these big pending contracts there'd be EXTREME cap flexibility too.. I'd still be in asset-acquisition mode.

Team would be WAY more athletic.. I wouldn't leave Rudy out there to be a one man army, to make up for the gaffes of Joe Johnson and Diaw.. that's for damn sure.. Gimmie Harrison Barnes over those 2 defensive loafs.

While thats been brought up, let it be known I've not said anything to anyone here who didn't strike first. You could argue I've been touchy, but still, thats the nature of forum arguments..

Clearly my aim is at the organization and status quo, not any individuals. I hate poker, being a wolf amongst sheep is no display of mastery IMO, it's easy pickins. Being a great blackjack card counter with your aim at taking down the house is vastly more noble IMO.. (see the 2nd line in my sig)
