Derrick Favors Extravaganza!

Favors showed some life of a jump shot and made some really nice post moves and footwork. It wasn't just dunking on offense. But, isn't that really all Dwight Howard did until this year? Favors also made some really nice passes when he played and a lot of them went to Big Al.
 
Anyone who watched him play the last half of the season can use the eye ball test and know he's going to be special.

His pick and roll defense was also very impressive.
 
While Favors dunks were fun to watch, I found myslef following him on the defensive end and he showed good defense for a 19 year old rookie. While not great at pick-n-roll defense, I thought he did a good job getting after the ball handler and disrupting the play.

It is just unreasonable that you can see STARS with Hayward and Favors playing good in garbage time with teams (except the Wizards game.) This is crazy these are the same people that we drooling over boozer til he left. Dwill till he left. Don't overrate our rookies. Can they be good? Yes...But, as you complain about Ronnie Price a once a game highlight reel the scales tip in both directions.

You getting warmer lets say you get just dumped you old girl friend 'price' because you thought that she couldn't have been more perfect she had all you wanted athleticism, heart, and seemed to make spectatular plays one of twice a game. Later you start seeing the flaws shoots to much, can't hit a shot, and turns the ball over. So, you go to an extreme and begin to loathe her and want to dump her. Then 'Favors' comes into you life and now you are set with a new, better, seemingly perfect girlfriend....or so you though.

It is great that Favors and Hayward look good but....time will tell. We shouldn't be lighting up these boards with our over rated expectations too early. You all have already penciled Hayward and Favors in as the two new stars. They might end up as Ronnie Prices ( and I love Price but most of you don't) and this time next year you will ask for new studs that you will over inflate. So, the cycle begins.

Look at this time last year I bet there was a ton of love for Dwill, Millsap, and Wes.
Two years ago Memo, Boozer, Millsap, Brewer, and Dwill.

You are getting warmer. My whole problem was that you compare price and favors. Lets see price is about 6 feet tall. Favors about 6 foot 10 inches. price plays on the perimeter. Favors on the low block. No big schools seemed to want price out of high school so he goes to UVSC. favors is one of the top prospects in the country out of high school and goes to an ACC school. Price isn't good enough to leave early and stays all four years. Favors probably could have went to the nba straight from high school if the rules allowed. Im not sure when price was drafted but probably in the 2nd round or even undrafted maybe. Favors was 3rd overall. Favors was the main piece in a trade for d-will (an all star). I dont think that anyone would really want price to be the main piece that they recieve from a trade. Im ok with you saying that he might not reach his potential but it is still extremely stupid to compare favors to price as they are obviously very different players.

You are right. Pretty dumb of me to get sucked into an arguement from someone abviously trolling..... It is just hard to resist calling someone on thier BS sometimes. I should know better and I am now done with this thread.
