Trade for Ingram Right Now

I personally think the Lakers could blow the doors off if they played their cards right.

If they traded us Ingram and Deng for Favors and picks which in turn gets them PG for Clarkson, Zubac, picks. This is their roster:

Lopez $22.6 expiring, George $19, Favors $12 expiring, Randle $4.2, Ball $5, Brewer $7.6 expiring, Black $6.6 expiring = $77.3

They go out and sign Chris Paul for $20-23 million. And you know what, they have max money for LBJ in 2018. Scary stuff:

PG Paul/groom Ball
SG George
SF LBJ
PF Randle
C somebody who plays defense

Ingram is a legit prospect. Why the hell would they trade him? Him + Ball...
Been doing a lot of research on Laker forums and podcasts. Some said Ingram, Clarkson, and #28 for George.

Anything is possible. If I am LA, I only trade Ingram to dump Deng. Deng's contract could get in the way of building as strong as free agents might want.

Makes zero sense for them to trade Ingram and if it is for LBJ they can wait until next year to do it. Not going to happen unless it is for a legit star

To dump Deng. If you want LBJ...

Chris Paul, George and Ball can recruit him better than George, Ball and Ingram. End of story

So they trade their only legit prospect because Paul and George, neither of whom they have, can better recruit Lebron, another player they don't currently have. Got it.

Wait, how did the Lakers all the sudden get Chris Paul and Paul George? If their plans were to get CP3 they wouldn't draft Lonzo Ball.

Thinking multiple moves ahead which is what it takes. GS was thinking Durant a year before it happened. I'm talking 2 weeks.

LBJ would want stability and title contention - Ball and Ingram don't provide that.

Do I really have to spell it out for you guys? You trade Ingram for PG through us because they don't want Deng and they traded Russell for the cap space to add stars.

Deng is an anchor for a team dreaming like LA. Gotta dump him.

Indy said they want a starter (Clarkson) and 2 1st rounders for George (they get 3).

PG is killing the value for Indy. Cavs hunting Butler only lessens his value. Considering nobody wants a one year rental, Clarkson and 3 picks is quite good.

Looking at history, #24, #27 and #30 are fringe starters at best.

Reports say Clarkson, Randle, #27 and #28 isn't quite enough for Indy.

If Utah can pry Ingram by taking Deng, LA gets George since Utah will give them #24, #30 and maybe more.

Three teams get what they want. Remember, the league knows you need a massive super team to beat GS. George, Ball, Ingram and Deng are not even a playoff team for a while.

Actually, in recent history, the best picks at those positions have been AK-47, Rudy Gobert, and Jimmy Butler.

But outlier outcomes aside, yeah, the most likely outcome is end of rotation players with a slightly lower chance at rotation, and a small window at starter/star.

Why in god's name would they trade us Ingram when the Pacers would prefer Ingram and not some late 1sts? This proposal makes 0 sense.

AK is recentt history now. Lol.

Trade for Ingram so the Jazz fans can lambast him like how they have treated Exum ?
Ingram shot the threes worse than Exum and plays terrible defense.

This is an example of how horrible the last couple of drafts have been. The Lakers ship the No. 2 pick of 2015 for some cap relief and an expiring contract. Ingram looked like a guy off the bench from a DLeage team at times last year.
