Rubio traded to Jazz

I know nothing about the coaches Rubio has played for, but I think it's safe to say they weren't good at developing his game. That will change once he's with the Jazz. I think the combination of being on a winning team, with a better team culture, and having better coaches to work with, I could easily see him surprising everyone with improved outside shooting as well as improved percentages at the rim this season. Hell, people forget how god-awful Hayward was as a 3 point shooter early in his career...he's improved every year since.

With everything else that he does. . . if Rubio could improve his 3 point percentage, he'll be a hell of an acquisition.

Hopefully playing for a team actually competing for something helps Rubio take step forward as well. He has never been on a playoff team. They have been playing for nothing pretty much his whole career.

Well last year everyone expected the T'Wolves to challenge for a playoff spot but he was complete *** for the first half of the season, so a lot of it was on him.

That channel has a lot of Rubio highlight videos from this year where they show makes and misses. Rubio misses a lot of layups you would think he should be able to finish.

I also think Minnesota might run up to 4x as many post-ups per game compared to Utah. Rubio in a more wide open offense could be dangerous.

Yeah, but one thing I've noticed about watching him is that he is a lot like Rondo where if you just sag off him, it just gives him more room to penetrate and make the correct pass on target. It's not like Exum where he doesnt know what to do when no one guards him.

If Favors is healthy, he will have a career year with Rubio running the point. Favors was awesome running the pick and Roll with Ingles in the playoffs. Rubio will be able to set him and Rudy up for a lot of easy baskets. Hood needs hit spot up 3s from the corner, he will have plenty of opportunities, so will Ingles and Johnson.

Exum knows exactly what to do... breathe harder through your mouth so they don't forget you are there.

It all depends on how good Favor's midrange jumper is. While the Wolves didnt have a ton of 3pt shooters, KAT and Dieng were both in the upper tier of mid-range shooting bigs.

Last year was Favors best shooting from mid-range, coming in at 39%. It was on a much smaller sample size of shots than the previous two years though. In those years he was a 36% shooter in each.

To compare, KAT was a 48% midrange shooter his rookie year and a 45% this past year.

Dieng was 46%, 42%, and 46% the last 3 years.

It's pretty stark how different Minnesota's offense is from Utah's.

For instance, Andrew Wiggins took 527 midrange jumpers to Hayward's 283.

George Hill took 138 midrange jumpers to Rubio 227 (Rubio shot 45% on them too).
