Pelton WL projections

More hate on the Jazz (not the win projection). Watch the video in the link. Talking about could the Lakers actually make the playoffs this year and the guy says "well who is going to fall out?" and pretty much right on queue a shout from the lady "Utah?!?"
 
Projecting the Jazz to win 44 or 45 games isn't really a slap in he face at this stage. Projecting the Jazz to win 36 or 37 games would be a slap. If anything, Pelton is slightly overrating Denver and overrating the Clippers, imo.

Those were my thoughts... I think Denver is overstated. I think Utah will be ahead of Denver.

I cannot wait for the Boston games. I told my son that he isn't getting my tickets to the Boston game. I am taking my wife and we are going to boo that Hayward the whole game.
 
I'm surprised people are so high on the Clippers. They didn't just lose Chris Paul. They also lost JJ Redick, Jamal Crawford and Mbah a Moute, along with Mareese Speights. That's an awful lot of offense to lose. They brought in Patrick Beverly, Lou Williams and Milos Teodosic, but that looks like a downgrade to me at every position. Then add the fact that both Griffin and Gallinari are injury prone, and I see a team that could easily miss the playoffs.

Something would have to go pretty wrong for the Jazz to come in under 40 wins. Or, they'd have to trade out some talent for draft picks. Ricky Rubio is the best floor general the Jazz have had since DWill. He'll control the game and move the ball better than we've seen for a long time. Rudy can score at the rim or draw a foul almost anytime he wants. He's still getting stronger and will back people down more. Hood, Ingles, Johnson and Mitchell, along with the new guys, give the Jazz enough shooting and spacing.

The question will be how well young guys like Exum and Mitchell create their own looks off the dribble and whether that can lead to efficient offense.

Don't be a dip ****. Utah is an injury plague away from sucking ***. They'll win more than 40 if everything goes perfectly & dreamy with Donovan Mitchell living up to the dumb *** fan pre-season hype, Favors doesn't go down for 50 games, Hood stays healthy, Burks touches the court, and Exum shows that he doesn't belong in the D-League. They're going to struggle against mid-tier teams they were comfortably beating last season and going to loose a few more to the dregs of the NBA.

That's a stupid bet to place money on.
