I find it ironic that Ainge gutted his team this offseason and traded his injured star player to gamble on a championship, now has a new injured star player. Who will likely be out all season.
It's a terrible injury and I wish it didn't happen especially to Hayward. But it's kind of Boston's karma. Good luck winning the championship now.

That karma though. Sucks for Hayward and I know he’s probably in a ton of pain, but you shoulda stayed in Utah homie!
Now he can sit in his chair for the rest of the season and sulk it in while he watches his old team shock the world.

Isn't a fractured ankle just another way of saying it's broke?

No its a fracture. I believe clean breaks are actually better (not sure though).

Damn.. bitter sweet marriage proposal just went down in Cleveland...
I'd say that's worst case. Broken bones in there for sure. Probably wrecked every ligament in his ankle. Cartilage damage. Vein damage. That's the kind of injury you could possibly lose your foot even. He's going to be in a 7-12 hour surgery tonight I bet.

Am I supposed to feel sorry here... I mean I wouldn't wish a horrific injury on the guy but he led us on this summer and did us kind of dirty... ainge did IT dirty... kind of. Boston fans were sooooooo damn smug this offseason. I feel bad for him as a human but as a celtics hater I can muster up any sympathy.
Also remember this injury when people say the 5th year of that 5 year max doesn't matter... it's like 40M. Gordon may be back and healthy someday but he's older than PG when he had his injury. This may have cost Gordo some dough.

I'm kind of upset because I really wanted this to be true with Gordon playing. Would have been so much fun to troll celtics fans about him needing a good coach to bring the all star back out of him.
