What's new

It's Derrick Williams or bust.

Screw Kanter and Knight. Williams fits too perfect with our team.

Williams
Favors
Jefferson

Best front line ever, if you double team Favors or Jefferson then Williams will make you pay.

I love Derrick Williams' game, but I still think he is fooling himself thinking that he is going to be a 3. Too bad summer league is a no go this year because he could learn that lesson much sooner that way.

What about watching him would make you think he is anything but a 3?

I like him as a 3 too. Defense and ballhandling will be the questions he'll have to answer in individual workouts... but he already has the range on his jumper for a 3. Would be nice to bring him for workouts in a group with a scorer like Hamilton and a defensive minded guy like Singleton.

im not worried about shooting, he can work hard and improve it in time. But he just dont have the talent to be a good ball handler and go to guy

He is excellent with the ball in his hands. Just because he doesn't cross people over and make no look passes doesn't mean he's a bad ball handler. He's got some serious moves when attacking the paint with the ball in his hands. He was also the go-to player on an elite 8 team that lost to the eventual champions, and put up scary numbers while spending more than enough time on the perimeter.

Hopefully Kahn will help us out since they don't need him.

I watched part of the NBA Draft Combine today. Enes Kanter looks like great prospect at the C position. If the Timberwolves are happy with Michael Beasley at SF and Kevin Love at PF, they have a need at C and no need for Williams long-term. I seriously could see them taking Kanter to fill their need at C, which would allow us to fill our need at SF with Williams. If we get Williams, I could realistically see the Jazz take Fredette at #12 overall (if he is available) to fill our need as a shooter of the bench and possible replacement for Devin Harris at PG down the line.
