He finally breaks out and has an awesome game, looks like he's going to lead us to a big win to close out the series... and then the Jazz implode. He's not going to get any credit or recognition for his amazing performance.

He had a really good game, but it wasn't an out of this world performance. He can certainly duplicate that again percentage wise, maybe just not as much volume. I had no problem with the volume either since he was so hot early, but I hope if the shot isn't falling this next game he reigns it in a bit.

A big reason we lost is because he played too many minutes in the 2nd half. Not his fault, the Jazz bigs were in foul trouble, but the Jazz team performs way better when it's Favors/Gobert together.

His half performance was great though and it should have helped propel us to a win.

Crowder's biggest problem in the Jazz's offense is that he isnt a mismatch against anyone, and sometimes he thinks he is.

When OKC switched to a switching defense w/ Melo out of the game, too many guys who arent great at attacking switches tried to do just that (Crowder and Rubio). Even Mitchell was throwing up some BS shots against switches where we just gave into playing ISO ball like OKC wanted.

This game was lost with 5 fouls on Favors and Gobert. We win through the defense and inside presence of our bigs, really. This game proved it. In Utah at least 2 of those on Favors and 1 on Rudy does not get called, they are both in during the attempted streak, we push back when they cut it to 15, close it out. Similar to the game when we got Adams in foul trouble and Favors feasted at the rim. Funny how everyone talks small ball but it is the bigs that really make the difference.

A million times this. Rudy and Favors do so much offensively that does not show up on a box score. When both are in foul trouble, we're boned. It's also one of the reasons we must retain Favors.

You can blame Rubio and Mitchell for the loss. Both had a bad game.

I dont mind the 3s. Make or miss he opens the floor. That said I want to see more Jerebko. He seems to play well every time he gets minutes. I think he could have been huge last night.

Crowder did shoot the ball well last night. The question remains, is it him finally finding his groove and now playing like he is capable, or is it an outlier and the real Crowder is a 32% 3 pt shooter. I still think Crowder forces too much and need to not have the ball in his hands as much as he does. He is generally atrocious at the dribble pull-up, he misses it all over the place, which is not the sign of any kind of real shooter. Most great, or even just solid, shooters will tend to miss short or long, but still be straight on at the basket. Mitchell tends to miss long or short. Crowder misses to the left, to the right, clanging it off the rim at weird angles. He is not a shooter. I hope his hot shooting continues but I vote for him to be a spot-up shooter where he can gather himself to shoot rather than watch him dribble fruitlessly for 12 seconds before pulling up for some weird off-balance shot that clangs off the backboard.

Pretty sure his role is to be a primary option off the bench because nobody else is capable of it. He's using possessions that way because he's being encouraged to.

I will remind everyone of the growth of Rubio and that it took time. And Ingles. And Hill's career year. And Hayward's. And hell, Demarre Carroll's growth under Quin as well. But it doesn't always happen overnight, and I think Crowder's ideal role is as a tough, defensive glue guy that is not a primary option in the starting lineup, anyway.

There were maybe two shots I thought were bad... but it was when we had no direction. I like Jae... I said he'd have a good game and he was absolutely killing it... it tapered off but his shot selection wasn't bad. There was a foul call he didn't get on a drive that he really should have... and one of the threes was a desperation three at the end. He was also making passes in the first half once the defense was collapsing.

Jae was fantastic last night and he will be better after an offseason. He fits in so well.

If we got a decent Ricky game last night we win, if Russ doesn't go nuclear we win, if Rudy doesn't get in foul trouble we win, if DM is a little better we win, if Billy Donovan stick with Carmelo we win...

Jae playing great put us in an opportunity to win last night... if any of the things above happen and we get that game from Jae we win. Rough game, but I think our guys will rebound and the home crowd will be bananas.

Those guys were athletes though.

Maybe Crowder has some kind of weird injury like Favors had last year, but the dude's athleticism seems pretty zapped for w/e reason.

Wait Ingles isn’t an athlete... I think Jae will get better when he really understands everything... I think knowing where you have the best opportunities and shots will increase his shooting percentages.

I don’t remember him ever being a super athlete but this year he has had his lowest amount of dunks... which is a sign of decline. I also think he could benefit from dropping a few pounds... even if it caused him some muscle loss. He had a brutal offseason with the trade and death of his mother... I expect him to be better next year for sure.

Jae also has a funky leg kick on his jumper... I wonder if there are some things the development staff can help him clean up.
