Maybe a draft trade rumor

It was tweeter on espn 700 about a jazz trade rumor I am combing the Internet to sustantiate the rumor but have come up with anything so I will toss it out there.

Jazz trade mile, bell and the #3 to sactown for #7 and tyreke Evans. Not sure why sactown would consider this unless they were in love with a player but wow that would be a good trade.

Apparently the kings are very high on miles.

Or perhaps they are tired of Evans' attitude. He was a head case this past year but he is still very talented. He was also injured so I would have to know the seriousness of his injury. I would do it if the Jazz could get Biyombo at 7. I would really have to not like Kanter or Williams to do this trade.

Slide Hayward to 3 it would make our 3 pt shooting pretty bad from the guard spots neither Evans or Harris are good shooters.

At 7 it's almost a lock to get one of Kanter, Knight, Jonas, Biyombo. I'd take cap space, Evans, and any of those <------- over whoever we'd get at #3.

/notgonnahappenthough

Do it after the draft when Jazz selects (whoever Kings wants) and Kings selects Knight.

Knight and Evans would make a good combo IMO.

Draft Biyombo at 7, and Jimmer at 12 to improve shooting. Harris and Evans would be a terribly paired backcourt, but Jimmer and Evans would compliment each other well.

I'd do that trade in a heart beat. Meaning of course there is no way its going to happen. How Sac would even consider that trade is crazy IMO

Fixed.

However, I wouldn't do that if I were the Jazz until I knew Derrick Williams wasn't going to slip to #3. I'd rather have Derrick Williams than Tyreke Evans. Evans is a guy that doesn't contribute much unless the ball is in his hands, and he's not really a go-to scorer unless he's a "PG" creating a mismatch. Truth is, though, he's not a guy you want playing PG for many minutes. The Kings have this dilemna and that's why they'd be willing to move him. The Kings must want Knight as their PG.

Derrick Williams is going to be a solid scorer and potentially one of a 'Big Three'. If I'm the Jazz, I'd rather trade Miles, Bell and #3 to the T'wolves for #2 and a soda fountain.

If that would miraculously happen, the Jazz would be definite play off contenders. Tyreke is a stud that can play PG or SG. I know its a ridiculous comparison but he reminds me of Lebron a little. He can rebound, pass, nice mid range and is a big strong guy that uses his body very well to finish. And Tyreke has only been in the league for 2 years. That being said, no way they take our scraps and the #3 for a future All star in Tyreke and the #7 which we could get Biyombo

I'm confused as to why Sac is already dumping their ROY. ? This idea doesn't make sense to me.

If there's any validity to it I'd be all over it. ...unless there's some significant reason why Sac is bailing on him already. It reminds me of an elementary school lunch room when someone offers you a twinkie (YIPEE), only to discover they pee'd on it.

Color me not impressed by Evans. He barely shot over 40% from the field last year and under 30% from three. Perhaps it's a good trade to then parlay mid-season into something more, but long-term, no thanks. He can't run a team and can't shoot like a swing really needs to in today's NBA. Maybe I'm wrong and he could evolve into a Wade-type two but um, yeah, I doubt it.

I'm not saying I wouldn't do it but man, I wouldn't be thrilled about it. How effective are Harris, Evans and Jefferson without the ball?

I heavily doubt this rumor, like all others. But from the Kings' perspective (if anyone on the Kings is seriously considering it) I'd have to think the thinking would go: Does anyone imagine Evans in a long-term winning situation, or is he more of just an "I'll get my numbers" kind of guy? Maybe you can get by with one of these types on a team, but not two (Cousins & Evans).

If there is any thought from the Jazz side, maybe the thought is that an Evans/Hayward backcourt combo could actually work.

Personally, I'd rate Evans in the top 5 of the entire NBA as a driver. Pretty close to unguardable first step and a nifty ability to finish in traffic. As a talent, I'd love to get him. But there are two problems: 1) He needs the right offense and 2) His head. You worry about a guy who drove 120 miles an hour on the freeway with police chasing him for FUN. I'm actually pretty forgiving of immaturity in 20 year old multimillionaires, but I wonder how forgiving KOC is.

Yeah, I guess to dump those buttnutts, get a hell of an athletic 20 year old talent in Evans, and the #7 pick is a no-brainer. Personally, I'd love Biyombo there and BPA at #12. Either way, we'd have a hell of a lot of assets with contracts that aren't killers.

Harris, Evans, Hayward, Jefferson, Favors, Biyombo, #12 pick, GS pick. Mna, I guess that's a lot to get excited about.

I would definitely do that deal and I still believe in Miles. But only after an exhaustive character check on Evans. You wonder why they'd be willing to part with a guy that talented.

When you fix something could you bold the changes. It's annoying to have to re-read posts to find a one word change.

As for the rumor, is this the one from a kings board that was using a bleacher report article as the source? This sounds the same and it wasn't an actual rumor. It's based on a Chad Forde tweet that said the Kings like Knight. That's it.
