Fear.

Parker. No defense, and extensive injury history, would demand a lot of money. Just a bad fit defensively, probably no more the player he was when drafted due to injury

Dream.

Trevor Ariza. An upgrade to Thabo. Great 3&D player. Makes us a title contender IMO

What’s yours?

Fear

Aaron Gordon. Empty numbers on a ***** team. Terrible shooter from 3. Sure to be way overpaid. Not to mention weird looking head and his eyes are set too far apart.

Dream

Paul George zero chance but a perfect fit if he would play the 4
Otherwise realistically -
Joe Harris Cheap stretch 4 who can fill it up from deep won't muck up the salary cap for 2019

I thought of George, but don’t think he’d come, plus I figured a lot of people would say him.

Dream : PG13 - perfect fit for this team and the type of player that can help put the Jazz into title contention.

Realistic hope : Joe Harris or Mario Hezonja - both are young sharpshooters with athletic ability and upside. I’d love to see what they can be in Utah’s developmental program.

Nightmare : Jabari Parker - I like Parker just fine, but his defense and injuries scare me. He’s going to be overpaid and it’ll cost the Jazz half the roster to probably just have Milwaukee match anyways. Don’t like the idea of chasing any RFA’s this year.

Joe Harris as a 4? Athletic ability? Not really guys... too small and not really an athlete.

When I thought Parker was sure to get 4/80 I was completely out... too much risk... there is a point where I’d be in. 3/50ish. I think in that range the sign and trade with Favs is doable.

Fear- Any contract that takes our remaining cap long-term and doesn't push the team over the top

Dream- Paul George

Pipe Dream: Paul George of course.

Realistic Dream:
Garrett Temple or Will Barton

Clown from "IT" nightmare:
Swaggy P and CJ Miles are packaged in a deal for Mitchell!

Reasonable Nightmare:
Bringing back the same team and calling it an upgrade. Sure, we would be a little better... but we can add a piece or two... too.

One more nightmare: Goran Dragic comes back from timbuktu with Fesenko and Tomic selling a new brand of basketball and carrying anal-itics... and Dennis Buys in.

Nightmare - signing Favors too much long term which compromises long term flexibility (and please don't reply with - "but we can trade him later" garbage)

Realistic Dream - sign a guy with amazing stretch 4 potential who our amazing coaching staff can mold and develop - Hezonja.

Pipe Dream - we get really aggressive and find a way to pry Jaren Jackson Jr. from Memphis by taking Parsons and sending assets.

*Shaking my head* why do you want Barton or Temple that play the same position as Allen and Mitchell?

Lots of Jabari hate here I guess. I think he would be a top 3 stretch 4 in this league if healthy. I get that he hasnt been... but many of you think we should give Exum big $$$ and he has played less games than Jabari.

I think Parker,s injury history is more concerning. (2 knee injuries) and has only played more games because Exum’s injuries happened in the off season, only one of exum’s Injuries was to the knee, and the other one was a freak accident as that idiot Warren thought it a good idea to jump on him in preseason

Why is it garbage that we can trade him later? Like would you rather only have one year left on Jae’s deal? If Favs comes at a discount he’s an asset... we could move him later if that is the case... you of all people should know... trades can happen

Regarding the PG13 love - no one is deterred by the fact that he's THE worst clutch shooter in the NBA?

Is it worth giving a guy 28 mil so he can bring you 55 wins and a first round exit?

Does anyone remember TMac and The Houston Rocket teams that The Jazz dispensed of twice in the first round of the playoffs?

Donovan is the closer... PG can sit in the corner in the clutch.

Yes, I do.

They didn’t have Mitchell, Gobert, Ingles or Rubio.

We hang our hat on defense and adding an elite defender like George to the #1 defense in the league is downright scary. Similar to KD going to the Warriors except on the defensive side. Not to mention it’s another guy who can get his own shot which is something we desperately need next to Mitchell.
