Seemed a step too slow on defense and switches.
One criticism of Bradley. Doesn’t look to finish with any strength. Wonder why?
My guess is he is weak
To all you worthless morons, it’s Redick. Redick. One D. I hate each and every one of you.
Yeah, not to overreact but I think it goes way beyond a step slow. I found his defense alarmingly bad. Stuck on many picks. Many rotations were very poor. Seemed lost. Not consistently aware of both the ball and his cover. Sometimes got out of athletic position and upright and got beat. Closeouts were consistently bad and some were flat out lazy.
His defensive intensity was below NBA level and way way way below Jazz level.
For a guy with a seemingly high offensive IQ, I don't think he has learned the other side of the game. I'm hoping this was fatigue related as opposed to effort.
Smart guy, I hope he can change a gear here and focus on defensive improvement (unlike others like Kanter and Lyles, who gave lip service to Defense but only cared about their numbers.
Just summer league, small sample size, yadda yadda yadda. I hope I'm wrong but I see potentially large defensive development gaps.
Bradley’s ceiling might be Jarron Collins. Late first round picks are always a gamble, I just don’t see him fitting in well to today’s game.
A lot of those can be fixed at least.
Yeah he has the physical tools. But bad habits are hard to break. I was further disheartened by the poster who said he watched all his games at Duke and this game was consistent to his normal defense. But, to reiterate, I am fully aware that I am completely overreacting.
