Consolation prize

I've read and I've study and I have considered opposing views and I have decided I want Kanter at 3 and Jimmer at 12. However, I'm starting to believe that neither will be available. I think Minny will take Kanter at 2 and Sacramento will take Jimmer at 7.

I am not sure what this means for Utah. DW 2.0 will be available at three, but I have real doubts he can play the 3 position. Who will Utah pick if Kanter and Jimmer are not available?

Brandon Knight. Bismarck Miyombo. Book it.

The Jazz will pick DWill2 without thinking twice about it. If for someone reason he cannot play SF they can still trade him to a team needing a PF. He would not be a consolation prize at all.

Take Williams and hope Knight falls a couple spots and the Wiz call us about a deal like Knight, 18 and 34 for Williams and Bell. That would be a no-brainer for us imo.

I will take DWill_2 at #3 - no problem whatsoever.

I love Kanter, but in terms of upside and talent, I think DWill_2 and Kanter are neck and neck. So if Kanter is gone - just take DWill_2.

#12
After Irving is gone, there will be 3 teams wanting PG (Toronto, Sacramento and Utah) and there will be 3 PGs to choose from (Knight, Kemba and Jimmer).

If Toronto takes Knight (pretty likely) and Sacramento takes Jimmer (as you've said), then I don't think we'll cry about it if we have to take Kemba.

Granted he doesn't have as much upside as Knight but at #12? I like the fact that he's a winner. He seems to have the right composure to play the point.

We don't need a super star at the point IMO - we just need someone with good composure, can run the team and make 3pt when needed.

So in summary: DWill_2 and Kemba would be my picks and I'd be quite happy with that.

Derrick Williams and his 10.8 percent body fat cannot guard the quicker 3's in the NBA. I think I would prefer Knight.

Interesting. I'd be happy with Kemba at 12. His body language and ability to hit big shots reminds me of Billups. He could sit for a year, maybe more learning behind two vets like Harris and even moreso, Watson. Then, maybe a summer with Johnny and he could come in in year two and surprise people.
