We were rumored to have interest in Gallo prior to signing with the Clips... Just not sure he is a long term piece... not sure how well he ages.

If we got Gallo does it kill our chances at landing OP Jr. or similar trade candidate? Could probably still make it happen if they got serious about trading him.

He tore his ACL and missed a whole season when with Denver. Then was in and out of the lineup for a few years after.

It the Clips really have 0 interest in dumping him at the trade line, I really think the Jazz should just make a run at Otto Porter giving Washington the salary dump. At least that way we could guarantee we're landing another piece.

The Clippers will get lucky if they get one.
 
Another name to watch is Harrison Barnes.. he may opt out and I could see us having interest. I'm not a huge fan but I think he could be had this summer. Would not want to give him the max doe.

This... both guys they are looking at aren't guys like Wade that can organize multiple FA signing in the same market. Not sure Kawhi and Jimmy would want to play together.

I;m just saying if you look at his injuries reports from the last 3 years, they are all over the place:

Hand
Glute
Knee
Foot
Hand
Knee
Hamstring
Ankle
 
I want to know Homey if the Starz should select LiAngelo Ball? Lmao..
I can't wait to see LiAngelo get ate up IF he even gets on a team and that's a big if but these g league players ain't kids and are not some 2nd tier European player

Ah... I see.

Kinda like Kevin Love. If we had him I'd be nervous. With our depth we can cover for 15-20 games as long as he's healthy at the right times. When he's right I think he is better than most of the names we are throwing around. There have also been some rumblings he isn't as committed to basketball or conditioning... but I'm not sure they have merit.
 
So we could get Gallo and still have some money to play with if we waived Rubio's caphold. Would leave us with 16-18M or so to play around with if we wanted to try and get Dinwiddie, Brogdon, or another wing/PG. We could also likely move Jae, Dante, or Bradley for no returning salary to provide some more room. Or you could keep all the cap holds... re-sign Ricky, AB to friendly deals and use MLE if a bargain comes along.

I think DL wants to see this through and has eyes for Middleton/Harris. We'd likely have a read on how happy Khris is because of the ties we had with the Bucks former front office. I think he might try for the sexier moves at this point in our development.
 
I've always been a big fan of Gallo's game. I think he would be a great fit, especially on the offensive end. Obviously his health would be the big issue, but with all the depth we have at PF I think we could survive him missing some games.
 
So just read the Howard Beck article on the Clippers FA plans. They are definitely going to try and get two max guys... which means we may have a good opportunity to put a hard press on Harris.

The big fish generally wait a couple days to decide... they can keep Tobias' cap hold while they wait but will need to waive it to sign two guys. So he won't be priority 1... he is the fall back plan. If we made him priority #1 and offered the max but told him we won't wait for the Clips to work through their issues before making other offers... he might take the bird in the hand. Not an ultimatum, but just letting him know that if he wants it he should take it now because it won't be there in a day or two.

While they meet with Jimmy, Kawhi, Kyrie, KD, and Klay we have an opportunity to snake away Tobias. Whether or not it is realistic to get those guys is irrelevant... if they believe they can they may not want to give up hope to retain Harris.
