What's new

According to Ford- Milsap/Harris could be traded on draft day

I don't think the jazz would trade a guy like Millsap unless they could signficantly improve the team

Agreed I see the front office trading Jefferson before Millsap because of Jefferson's inability to guard the pick and roll, and he is paid twice as much as Millsap

Millsap's not getting dealt unless a major player is coming back -- Granger, Martin, that type of guy. I'd be absolutely stunned if he was in a Minny or Cleveland deal to land the 1 or 2.

Everyone talks about Milsaps work ethic and how it is exactly what the Jazz want. I can't see the jazz trading away a hardworking, long tenured guy. He is their poster boy of what the jazz did right as an organization (drafting) and what the player did right by working hard.

UNLESS--the Portland contract and the I'm a starter not Boozer, and I'm a starter not a 6th man are just the tip of the iceberg of a difficult person to deal with. Maybe the Jazz jokingly refer to him as Paul Me-sap. Jerry is not there to be a buffer, it will be KOC's call--do you think he remembers how the Portland thing went down?

If there is any truth to the rumor, I'd see it more as a contingency plan if either Irving or Williams fell to #3. These are the only two picks, in my view, that would make either Harris or Millsap redundant.

If Millsap is traded, he had better have said he didn't want to come off the bench AND they had better ****ing get Derrick Williams as well.
Agree completely.

I just don't get the excitement for DWill 2.

Granted, he can have some ESPN highlight dunks. He has a good outside shot, when guarded by 4s. People have questions about Jimmer's game translating to the NBA but DWill 2 has his own question marks for being drafted that high in the draft.
The question on Williams is if he can play small forward at the NBA level, but even if he doesn't pan out as a SF - he'll still be an above average player at PF, a position we saw him play for the past 2 seasons. Given the tremendous talent and scoring ability he brings to the table - it's a no-brainer if he drops to #3.

Dear god we better not trade Milsap. If we can draft Dwill 2 we can start him at the 4 and trade Jefferson.. Milsap as our sixth man.

The Jazz would suck hard without Millsap. And as another member said, his contract is a steal the next 2 years - not much more expensive than a top 3 pick.

Milsap is the man, but he's not a championship starting 4. Big Al may not be either, but still i believe Al > Sap. You have
to go with the better player.

I'd rather have Kanter than Sap too.

I hate to say it but I would rather get kanter also. I think a kanter favors front line would be amazing. Then if you added singleton and he become a lock down defender that can the open 3. Wow that front line would make us a contender.
