If not Rubio then what?

Many here have it all wrong about Rubio. He’s just coasting right now. He will step up to the big and more significant games like he did last season, which means, as the season progresses.

Here comes a Lopo like question.

Would we ever be able to get Lauri from the Bulls? Ever? EVER?????

If we can provide a consistent winning culture here, I think we will have a chance down the road at guys like Lauri, Kuzma, etc. We just have to start winning and stay there. We can't be that team that flukes to squeak into the 2nd round then get blown out. We need to establish the culture.

When Gobert is fading out and those current young guys are starting to look at their 2nd or maybe even 3rd contract, we need to be there lurking.

If Rubio gets better over the course of the season like he did last year, the Jazz will be faced with a very tough decision over the summer.

If Donovan was our PG how many possessions would we have per game where he was the only player to touch the ball?

About the same amount as Rubio currently.

Seriously, I want somebody to find out how many possessions per game Rubio never passes and ends up turning the ball over or shooting.

And, of course, not having to put up with the heavy Lopo.

You try to make this personal. I like Rubio the person and I don't mind Rubio the player. I just don't think he is a title contending quality starting PG. If we could replace Neto with Rubio to run the 2nd unit, that's perfect in my opinion.

If I knew Rubio would come back next year making around $8-10 million to be our backup PG while also knowing that we would let Neto walk, I would be happy with that. I'd be fine spending $10 on Rubio, $10 on Exum, save $2+ on Neto, and find a better starting PG solution than both of them.

Clearly.

Realmente estoy bromeando Lopo. Tienes derecho a opinar sobre Rubio. Para mí, si es un PG de calibre inicial, pero tiene que estar rodeado de jugadores más adecuados a sus virtudes. Tiene grandes debilidades, eso es obvio; No se puede negar.
