I just read some news that the turkish team Fenerbahce Ulker (where kanter and 2 turkish rookies all came from) is trying to make a move to get kirilenko for next year.

I am not sure how reliable is the news but i m curious if anyone has reliable info or strong rumor about AK's future in jazz n nba?

I wouldn't doubt there is some truth to it - I think you'll see this with a lot of players.

Another reason why The NBA is ****ed - it's gonna be a long lock-out.

I'm skeptical. Why would AK not want to rest his back and ankle and every other body part, while sitting on his semi-earned millions and kicking back? So he could garner the glory and notoriety of playing in the 8th best pro league in the world?

Dont dis the Turks. They play some good basketball. A matter of fact i will not be surprised if they become the 2nd best basketball country behind the US. Had a very good world championship run only losing to the US in the finals.

If we draft a SF, I doubt we resign him. I also doubt he resigns with a Turkish team. If he is going to leave the NBA he is going back to Mother Russia.

I would greatly prefer 3 more years of AK to 3 years of Singleton. But if Biyombo/JV aren't there at 12, my preference would be to trade down. Draft Mirotic, resign AK (or whoever), and wait until Mirotic can come over.

There are a handful of good players in Turkey, but a good nat'l team doesn't automatically translate into a good domestic league. Off the top of my head, I would guess the Spanish, Italian, Greek, and Russian leagues are all better, top to bottom, than the Turkish league. Russia... I could see AK going there to play out his autumn years.

I agree, basically Singleton has no chance to be as good as even 30 year old AK defensively or offensively. Might as well stick with AK for a few more years.

This is great news. He can take his yeast infections back over the Atlantic.

in greek there is only olympiakos n panathinaikos, italian league is underachieving for quite a while, russian isnt that good neither, only this summer CSKA made a good move to sign Krstic.

There r 4-5 above standard teams and 2 very good teams in turkey. One of those 4-5 standard ones had iverson on their roster this year till he got injured(a major one on his knee) and had to be seperated
