This is accurate, the guy is already one of the best passers in the league, is arguably an elite perimeter defender already who just does things you can't teach instinctively, super high IQ player on both sides, one of the fastest guys in the league with the ball in hand, improved handle, improved strength, etc.

He's just comically bad as a scoring threat most nights (but when he's on he looks like an All Star guy), and I also have some real concerns over his ability to stay on the floor as he missed half of his rookie season due to injury and he's set to miss close to half of this season as well. If a team that trades for him is able to make him even just a league average scorer consistently he's going to be a problem for the league.
 
How do you keep Lonzo on the court in the playoffs if we’re up by a small amount, if he’s shooting 40% from the line?

Actually how do you keep him on the court in a non-playoff game even?

People were trashing Simmons for this a while back too. Even though Lonzo might be interesting in one or two aspects, it’s a hard no for me. A very hard no.

I agree... we just don't have the assets for that imo. Unless they panic sold him, but they don't seem to be in any hurry.

DM/Holiday/Ingles/Crowder (or something)/Gobert... **** would get real.

I still think this is possible:

Hornets get Favors
Jazz get Holiday
Pelicans get Exum, Biyombo, Charlotte lottery protected 2019 1st, Utah's unprotected 2019 1st, and Utah's 2019 top 10 protected 1st

Depending on what NOLA gets for AD, they could have 4 or 5 first rounders this draft.

We would (or they would) need to find takers for Rubio/Favors that give good firsts for terrible salary. Detroit maybe does Ricky for Reggie and a first.

I think we value Exum more than any other team does... I think other clubs may consider him a net negative.
