2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

Pissed that we didnt get Jabari, but happy for Jabari. He gets to finally showcase his talent.

A lot of people around here gonna be feeling pretty dumb when they see what he does in Washington. I dont see how they pull the same nonsense as Chicago.

Pretty sure this gets Boylen fired too. That dude is so trash.
i remember i've seen jazz fans once argued whether we should hire Boylen as Corbin's replacement lol. we nicknamed him the "white Corbin" cuz the guy has that confused look written all over his face.

I actually thought Sacramento was a great destination for Burks since the start of the year. Glad we got Korver rather than Schumpert though.

I bet Memphis does not trade Conley... they seem too disorganized.

I think they held onto their pieces too long. The returns aren't going to be good. On a lesser extent they were stubborn last year when they literally wouldn't trade Tyreke for anything because the packages were "only 2nd round picks" and just let him go for nothing instead. Seems similar. They don't want to trade these past franchise cornerstones for salary relief and a meh pick.

They seem plenty organized. Just COMPLETELY oblivious to reality.

They had a trade fall apart last night that was supposedly done... they had the whole Brooks thing earlier this year... Evans screw up last year...

It smells like they are fractured or disorganized between ownership and the front office to me. It's just sloppy.

Exactly... they should know that holding won't increase the value of an aging asset... clearly they do not.

Exactly - paying that kind of money for a guy who has not proven he can carry any type of offensive load and can't get to the line? No thanks.
we need guys who can create his own shot. Porter doesn't provide that. plus we can always find 3 and D prospects off of G-league/summer league anyways. just look at Ingles and Royce. they are everywhere nowadays.

There wasn't one single person on this board that wanted Boylen. That was an "insider" pushing that it was a done deal. Might have even been Windhorst. Even the trolls couldn't pretend to endorse Boylen.

Totally fine with the porter trade. We probably could have beaten the offer for him or Parker, but I don’t think Parker is worth it and I’m not sold on porter for his contract.

Really happy both guys are staying in the east

This OP jr thing totally infuriates me. Jesus Christo. I can’t remember a worse run-up to the deadline since Ronnie Seiklay.

He's staying. Immediately after the trade Philly said that they plan on keeping Harris and Butler longterm. They are all in on a core of Embiid/Simmons/Butler/Harris.

We aren't getting Harris
I bet Cleveland planned on keeping LeBron
