Time for a true gutting of the team this offseason.

Otto Porter is absolutely killing it since the deadline as well. Both players are big missed opportunities.

Maybe... they apparently wanted Exum... so Exum and Rubio plus draft stuff for Conley works.

Long term it may be good we missed on that deal, but right now it would make us so much better.
 
A move for Conley would have been a short term move that still wouldn't have put us over the Golden State or Houston hump. It would have been a move to put us into maybe the 2nd round the next couple years. He's an injury prone guy who makes so much that another injury sacrifices so much other potential. His contract is staggering it's so massive.

The Porter trade still makes me scratch my head, but I guess Washington really, really like Portis.
 
Stop talking about Conley. He told his agent he did not want to play here. He is never coming here
 
We don't need to gut the team. We simply need a damn PG; someone George Hill-esque like Patrick Beverley.

We also need a stretch-4.

And as mentioned by another poster, a guy who can create his own scoring would be nice. Preferably someone who can play halfway decent defense.

We dodged a bullet not trading for Conley, would have put us in basketball purgatory even longer.

The problem is that Rudy & Mitchell are too talented. Everyone else on this team is just simply not enough, even for how much I like Joe Ingles and he'd be a great 6th man off the bench, we need upgrades for PG, SF, PF.

Nutter. Joe is a top 15 SF in the league dummy. Conley would’ve been a monumental upgrade at PG.

and between Derrick and Jae PF is ok

PG is the real issue .
