Jazz Exit Interviews

People can critique him all they want, but the idea that he's been conservative is absurd

I'm fairly sure he'd say he has been conservative, but whatevs. Conservative isn't a bad thing. He has said multiple times he's keeping the powder dry, he had opportunities to make a move but passed... that is saving or conserving.

Our roster turnover is pretty low compared to other teams... which is fine. Patience is good in many/most cases. There is such a thing as being patient to a fault.

Disagree all you want but absurd is a pretty strong word to use there.

I just want to let you all know how happy it makes me that the Utah Jazz’s season is over and that it was my team that ended it. After all the racism that players endure in that arena, I love the fact that it will be closed down for the summer for NBA purposes. You don’t have a good draft pick, so your team doesn’t really have a future, especially with super teams forming this summer. You’re essentially stuck in mediocrity. Life is amazing for rockets fans. Bye bye, go have fun fishing little children! :) PS - Houston ownz u

Gotta love sore winners.

For the record I’ve been a big DL supporter on here for the last several seasons. But he has to produce now.

Playoffs 3 straight years.
Advanced to the second round 2 out of 3 times with only 1 all star during that time.

Yep. He doesn't produce at all. He just sits there and eats *** all day.

For the record, I'm just busting your balls.

Keep a wrinkle in it.

So being conservative in one instance is being labeled conservative?

The dude was talking about Kevin Love and Jabari. Not taking those dudes isn't being conservative, it's called being smart

You don't know who he was talking about... in the interview it wasn't even clear he was talking about this year.

There have been many times he has been conservative. I'm not saying smart/dumb or otherwise... conservative isn't a dig and many times it's a complement. He clearly favors continuity and patience... which are things I would consider conservative. I'm not saying he sits on his hands or that he is content but I think he's played it fairly safe at times. I think his riskiest move was waiting on Hayward's FA rather than moving him the year before his FA. I agreed with it but we burned some assets for win now moves to appease him in hopes of keeping him. It was risky, but I also don't know what we really could have got for him.

I really don't understand the continuity complaint.

Are teams suppose to have major changes every season?

I have been to Houston. It is not hell but right next door to it. Yes because as we all know Houston has no history of racism. Every year is different, enjoy your ride to the WC semi-finals because your team will be going fishing soon too.

DL goes one year without making a major move to the starting PG position and everyone cries about continuity.

Lest we forget how aggressive he's been in the past over that position.

You might want to go read my many posts on DL and all he has done for Utah.

But this is the moment of truth.

But sure, sits on his ****ing *** works too.
