I'm just curious why I've never seen announcements for summer league contracts being signed before. This reads like they've signed their NBA deals.

That's what I was thinking. Why announce it just for those two and not all the other players that play in summer league. They all get paid the same don't they?

Who knows, they may have really signed them to rookie contracts
