News, rumors and buzz around the draft and free agency

Trade Dante. Gobert can be the backup PG. Or make Donovan the PF if Utah adds Bogdanovic.
Not everything is "positionless." Jazz have to press their advantage of having great length at almost all positions.
Either way David Locke will pull numbers out of somewhere making what ever move they make or don't make to look like it was the perfect move.

If Neto has to go, well, he has to go. If we are successful this season and postseason, he will rarely see the floor. We can pay minimum for a 3rd string PG.

Pretty sure Bojan comes at the expense of Ingles. Can't have them both

You mean by rotation minutes? In terms of cap space, he'd fit around what Favors was being paid. If Indiana puts up a big offer to Malcom Brogdon, who is an RFA, the Jazz might be able to sneak in and grab him.

Why do they have to sneak in and grab him? He's an UFA, IINM. He agrees to a contract, Jazz waive Favors and he's ours.

Because Indiana's cap space would be tied up for a few days if they make an offer to Brogdon, who is restricted. Milwaukee is prepared to match up to around $20M for Brogdon.

Nobody is saying that. But he is a good backup PG when healthy.
Third string garbage minute guard. MAYBE.

Actually backup guard? HELL NO.

We need a guard who can consistently play for more than 30 min and score in double figures easily when being called upon. Examples are Shabazz Napier, Seth Curry, etc. We can't even play Neto for more than 20 min of NBA basketball without having him OUT for the next few games.
