Its a Fast and the Furious movie but only with those 2 characters. That is literally the only link. It had nothing to do with any of the previous movies except for those 2 characters. It didn't feel like a Furious movie at all, just an action movie.

I believe the only one I have seen is The Hateful Eight. I have no desire to see another, but might one day try Pulp Fiction anyhow.

As for Tarantino. I find most of his movies good, not great. I enjoy most all of them.
I really liked Django. Really liked inglorious bastards.
Hated hated hated this two movies he put out at the same time that looked like they were from the 70's. I think they were called grind house and deathcar or death race or something. Girl with a missing leg and then the one with Kirk Douglas. They were so slow and boring and un interesting for me.
Did he do the kill bill movies? I liked them ok.
Thought pulp fiction was pretty good but I feel it's over rated. I liked hateful eight.

why do we have to "other" the linking of 30 films. Yes, that's a huge *** reason why they're groundbreaking. Nobody has done it before and it seems like a feat that'll likely stay unmatched for a while. Unless of course Marvel does it again.
Whether or not you like the films personally, the consistent quality and popularity is special too. The batting average is nuts. Arguably only a few semi-dud attempts at the very beginning.

And I don't think people realize the star power of the actors cause they only think of the main characters.
But I mean Samuel Jackson, Anthony Hopkins, Michael Douglas, Robert Redford, Josh brolin, Mickey Rourke, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Idris Elba, Robert Downey jr, Zoe saldina, Gwyneth paltrow, Jeremy Renner, Chris helmsworth, Chris Evans, scarlet Johansen, Mark ruffalo, Chris Pratt, Michael b Jordan, Paul Rudd, Natalie Portman.
I just came up with that list off the top of my head (no Google or anything). I'm sure I'm missing a few.

After seeing the Witch, I'll watch anything Robert Eggers makes. A24 is just killing the horror game, we're in kind of a new golden age for horror movies right now.
I'm especially interested in this because it seems to have a weird fiction Lovecraftian vibe.
I've now seen Pulp Fiction. Not at all what I expected.

I really like the look of it. Ive been watching a lot of black & white movies on TCM lately. So to see one of the best directors working today do a B&W movie really excites me. Also the setting looks perfect for a movie lile this. And its being released just in time for halloween. Hyped!

Its cool that he's working with a studio that allowed him to make a black and white film. I remember when Frank Darabont adapted The Mist (which is a great little B movie) he wanted to film it in black and white but the studio said no.

Saw Hollywood. I have mixed thoughts on it. Loved the cinematography and paying homage to late 60’s/70’s tv and movies and Hollywood in general. The vibe in it was very good. DiCaprio and Pitt were excellent. Loved the Hollywood vibe with the camera from behind Pitt while he was driving through the Hills or side views of him. Honestly, he just looked hot and was cool as **** in general. But here is my list of issues...spoilers...beware...
1) Pacino—stuck out like a sore thumb. Should’ve been someone else.
2) Playboy mansion scene—no boobs? Really? Didn’t feel accurate of the environment.
3) Flashback of boat scene. QT chose the name of Natalie for Pitt’s wife. Not cool.
4) Dialogue in car with Family at one point seemed too casual and insensitive given the fact that the murders actually happened. Iirc the one girl talked about the Family embracing the Hollywood violence in which they were raised by killing these rich hollywoodites who thrust the violence in their faces via the screen. It seemed both hypocritical of QT (given the fictional violence that ensued and his history of violence in film) and inappropriate in tone...and yes I know the ppl who committed the acts were ****ed up, very possibly on drugs and such. The lines were just delivered too casually and felt wrong.
5) Climax. Part with Pitt bashing in head of girl was gratuitous, even for QT.
6) Part where someone mentioned Tate having an affinity for smaller looking males...I think the phrase “12 year olds” might have been used...I’m curious what QT was thinking here given Polanski’s history and the recent Hollywood issues. Couldn’t tell if it was just a factually accurate line or a commentary by QT.
Overall there was much I loved about the movie. It was his fairly tale of sorts. But I take issue with reimagining real, ****ed up events, as intimate as this. So far as Tate herself goes, I thought it at least painted her in a very positive light and he at least didn’t show the horror that was that murder scene. Quite frankly though, I wish he would’ve just cut out (no pun intended) about 20-30 minutes of some of the slower (and less necessary) parts and added in the fact that the former homeowner shot down a record deal for Manson which to me was Manson’s whole impetus for having the murders carried out...that, the Wilsons/Beach Boys should’ve been added in...and the ending should’ve been accurate...for me...show the two crime scenes take place...That’s a 3 hour movie...but I guess he wanted to pay homage to the fantasy that is Hollywood...that Hollywood allows us to feel and live...at the expense of murders that actually happened.

I'm glad I saw it, but I don't plan to watch it again.
I appreciated it more than I liked it.
