Utah receives:
Rip Hamilton
2012 1st Round Pick
Rodney Stuckey
(Add another prospect like Austin Daye)

Pistons receive:
Al Jefferson
Raja Bell

Works for both teams, Jazz get one of the best mid range shooters of all-time to help Burks and Hayward. They clear up their log jam at the 4 and 5. They get another lottery draft pick. Not to mention, they get a younger Devin Harris who is much bigger, physical, and a better finisher than Harris IMO. For the Pistons, they get an a low post scorer who would work well with Monroe. They clear up their guard log jam and can finally start Ben Gordon at 2.

Did you see Rip play last year?

Have you even checked his stats?

43% FG and 38% 3PT isn't bad at all. Solid free throw shooter, and proven veteran. Nonetheless, the Jazz could just buy him out after the trade to save cap room for the future. So basically were trading Jefferson for Stuckey, a top 10 pick, and cap space. I'd do it.

No. There is no logjam at 4 and 5 yet. People from or familiar with Turkey national team are saying Kanter might not get playing time in Eurobasket because of Erden and Asik. If that is true, how would he get playing time over Jefferson, Millsap, Favors and Okur (if healthy)?

And Detroit most certainly wouldn't include any picks or another young player either.

And for those that don't know their *** from their face, any proposed trade involving Rip Hamilton coming from anyone that does know their *** from their face is doing so to take on Rip's contract to get something else. In other words, this isn't about "getting" Rip, it's about HAVING to take his contract in order to get something else from the Pistons you actually want. In other words, this isn't about Rip.

So let me get this straight. The Jazz give up two pieces of their team that might have actually done more harm then good and they "take" on Rip and get a pick and two young talants int return? I can see why you posted a Jefferson to Detriot trade because I can see that being a reality but the Proposed trade will never ever happen. You can see that you are jazz fan and I cannot fault you for that, but this will not happen.

The trade that I see happening looks a little like this:

Detroit gets:
Jefferson
Miles
Harris
Future 2nd rounder

Utah gets:
Rip
Villanueva
Knight
2012 First round pick

I can see this trade being more realistic because Dumars can get rid of his mistake in Charlie V and he can add an All-Star PG and a dominate lowpost scorer in Jefferson while also getting Miles for a few mintues a night. I don't see that Jazz going for this trade but to me it is a little more realistic than then OP trade.

Why the hell would Detroit trade the point guard of their future AND a 2012 1st that is almost certainly lotto bound if they're being honest with themselves for a few perennial losers?

Sorry Devin, your Mavs days are so long ago for me.
