Favors was getting some pretty good PT near the end of the season. Hayward will be a starter.
As much as we all want Kanter and Burks to be great from Day 1, they're rookies. And rookies are going to struggle and get in foul trouble when they do play. Burks probably has more opportunity to play right away than does Kanter. Barring any trades or the unlikely return of AK, SF/SG is a 4-man rotation (Hayward, CJ, Burks and Bell), with Millsap perhaps getting a few spot minutes at the 3. Pencil Hayward in at 30 mins and CJ at 25-30. That leaves 35-40 mins for the others - plenty of time for Alec and Raja. Bell or CJ can be traded at the deadline if Burks is ready to start that soon.
I think Kanter will take longer to develop. I don't see him averaging more than 10 mins/per. No team goes through a season without injuries, so the logjam at the 4/5 is only an issue if/when ALL five are healthy. Limit Jefferson and Millsap to 30 mins MAX and tell them the reduced time allows them to give 100% on both ends. Give Favors 25 mins consistently. Memo gets 10 post-injury and Kanter plays when matchups, injuries or foul trouble by the others creates an opportunity. Same thing as Burks...if/when Kanter shows he's ready for major minutes, you shop Millsap or Jefferson.
