Jazz vs. Bucks tonight

Not to make excuses, The Jazz sucked tonight, but you have to wonder if Utah was trying a couple of things out of their typical offense.

The shot chart tonight looks like something from the Tyrone Corbin era.

They must have not gotten to the part of the playbook, where they play against a drop coverage.

Something tells me that was lack of execution rather than something they planned to do.

Haysoos Effing Christo I realize it is a preseason game but no one had a + by their name in the box. Not one person so their GLeaguers beat our GLeaguers too. It's just one game. I vote for Kidd to get cut.

If I'm honest. Jazz are to small to win the championship. Even though Conley and Donovan are really good players. They're to small. Gobert changes things alot. But they won't beat rockets Lakers or clippers. Simply to small

It's gonna be OK, folks... as other posters have stated years previous: just one game.

I'm surprised Royce hasn't started either of the first 2 preseason games, especially with guys out. There's been so much talk about him possible starting at the 4 this season.

My dog just threw up on the carpet and I had to clean it up... I enjoyed that experience more than the game... and it was chunky throw up.
Reminds me of a joke my cousin told me in fifth grade:

Guy walks in to a bar and the bartender asks what he’ll have. He says just water. Bartender suggests an alcoholic beverage and the man responds, “no, I really need to stop. Last night I got so drunk I blew chunks.” Bartender responds, “that’s alright! Everyone blows chunks.” Man responds, “chunks is my dog.”

I am no expert but it looked like bucks offense was mid season form. From one to 15 on the bench all had their sets down. Ours was opposite. There seemed to be lots of guys running into each other all over the court. Not just the bench either. Bogie ran into our players on multiple sets.

Big wings just shoot over the top of Conley like he's not even there. Other guys, like Bogdanovic, Jeff Green or Royce, were just missing rotations. Ed Davis was getting cooked repeatedly when he needed to guard outside the paint.

Technically, the only position we're smaller at this year is at PG. The Bucks are just an unusually big team with two 7-footers on the floor at all times.

As far as Giannis is concerned, you have to run a special coverage on him, you can't just let people get caught on switches. I do think that Jarrell Brantley's wide body and wide stance slowed Giannis down a bit.

The Jazz have a roster where they can play big, but they didn't use it. That line-up would be Mitchell/O'Neale/Bojan/Green/Rudy.

I did think it was kind of funny that Giannis kind of hurt himself showboating against third string guys. I'm glad it wasn't serious -- then it wouldn't have been funny -- but he was pretty full of himself tonight.

Brantley was excellent on him in the first half.

Ed is small and that team was super big. I’m worried about both sides of the ball when Rudy is out.

The million-dollar question is whether Bradley guards in space better than Ed Davis does. The Jazz want to switch on defense, like last year, but guys like Rubio and Favors could guard switches. Whereas, Conley and Davis couldn't tonight. That's the biggest concern that I see. Conley and Bogey will get comfortable on offense and start making their shots.

On a positive note, Mitchell was being very conservative tonight and he still could have gone for 30+ if he wanted to.
