Ante Tomić #4 - 13pts/14reb/2ast/1bs

He looks a little bigger and was aggressively rebounding, something he usually doesn't do. Color me impressed.

I was impressed with his passing. Would be awesome in the high post for the jazz. He also has a very nice hook shot and gets it off quickly.

On defense I was concerned how he let his guy back him down before he bodied him up.

Will he want to come to the NBA to be a 2nd 3rd string player vs being the man in Europe.

Tomic is a good offensive player. He is also a poster factory in the making on defense.

I still have hope he can come over in a year, and be our back up Center.
Wouldn't be bad to have a guy that can pass, board, and score coming off our bench.

he is too weak to defend powerful nba Centers or even PFs.

He is not that weak anymore, and probably somewhere between 240-250. His height makes him a little easier to back down with a higher center of gravity, but also is an invaluable asset for getting off a shot or grabbing a rebound.

Isn't that only question with Tomic at this point whether or not he has any trade value? I wonder if he is even worth a couple spots in a draft. Say we get a 15-17 pick or something, could he bump us up to the lottery? Or maybe one of those ever so valuable early second rounders?

I still think he isnt good enough to be a good nba player. He can be a good backup player but he would be a very good player in Europe instead. If i were him, i would definitely stay in Europe because i dont see he has much chance to be a starter in any team in nba.

Maybe he's a key reserve on a good team. He could have a solid career over here, but I think we all agree he'd be a much bigger player in Europe.

Did anyone catch Tomic in the London International tournament?
unfortunately i couldn't find any complete box scores i just found points scored
9 vs. China
4 vs. France(couple of NBA players on that team)
12 vs. Great Britain
11 vs. Serbia

He had 8reb and 6 ast vs China.

The guy can pass the basketball, that's for sure, I watched a little bit of his game vs. France and while he didn't play that well(missed some easy baskets he normally makes) he made a a couple nice plays vs. NBA players
