Westbrook out and Harden doubtful vs. the Jazz

A big win by the jazz over Westbrook and Harden could build momentum and let everyone know they are true contenders.

A win is a win. Respect from the media/fans doesnt mean ish other than satisfying your ego.

This is one of those cases where we have a tough back to back, so putting them away early would be useful. It would also put us a full 5 games ahead of them in the loss column.

It would also put us 3 games behind the Lakers as they head into a matchup with the Clippers.

Nothing worse than a wounded animal, they’re a top team in the NBA so I expect em to put up a fight with or without superstars. Let’s get our game face on and crush these guys cause it’s tough sledding ahead.

But they’re not even close to a top team without Harden and Westbrook. The rest of the roster is probably a 20-25 win team over the course of a season. Don’t get me wrong, the Jazz need to keep focus, but with those two out, anything short of a win is a colossal choke job by the Jazz during a stretch in which they can’t really afford to lose one of the “gimmes”.

I don't think that they would cancel games. That would screw up the entire season. But it wouldn't surprise me if they rescheduled the games tomorrow. Yeah he was just a player but this has greatly impacted a lot of people.

At times I wonder what we could have gotten if we traded that Exum pick... but then I realize if Exum had gone to a different team then he wouldn't have been ruined and would probably be 2X MVP right now.

The Jazz have a history of letdowns in gimme games. They do not have the luxury of overlooking anyone so hopefully they come out dialed in and put this one away by halftime.

I was very surprised to see ESPN rank the Jazz 3rd in their power rankings this week.

The cancelling games thing was a rumor started on twitter. It was never even a consideration by the league in any way.
