Westbrook out and Harden doubtful vs. the Jazz

I didn't watch the game, but looking through the numbers, it looked like we should have won, until you see that they shot 49 effing free throws to Utah's 26.

Looks clear as day to me that Adam Silver doesn't want the Rockets falling to far behind. God forbid the league allow James Harden to get bounced in the first round.

Obviously Utah could have overcome the crookedness of a manipulated game had they played better, but every once in a while you see a game that should leave no doubt in anybody's mind that the NBA is not a 100% honest sport.
We didn’t make shots until garbage time... we came out of the gate completely unfocused. Any analysis from someone who didn’t watch is laughable... especially if it goes straight to conspiracy...silver has bigger things on his mind.

I'm going to try to write off the slow start due to emotions related to Kobe. The Rockets got it out of their system yesterday.

Did you watch the game? I’m not sure Rudy had an attempt in the first half... we didn’t even try to get him the ball. We should have had 60-70 points in the paint.

This one is on us... refs were bad but not nearly as bad as us.

Yeah, I was surprised how hard it was for us to get the ball to Rudy down low. Couldn't take advantage of the switching defense.

There is really no excuse for losing to the Rockets with their top 3 guys out. Worse loss of the season considering how badly the Jazz should have wanted to beat this team. The effort in the first half was pathetic.

Problem with Houston is they throw a smaller player on Rudy who just pushes hard into Rudy's lower body/legs, sumo wrestler like.. Dangerous for Rudy. Any other center, this is a foul on the smaller player, but not for Rudy. Then if Rudy tries to hold his ground, they flop, and often get a BS foul called.
Also on drives Houston throws body / elbow/ shoulder into defender most of the time, almost never is called for an offensive foul, and usually get a foul called on the defender. Also, refs don't call fouls on Houston defenders on drives.

Can't get too high on the wins. Also can't get too low on the losses, even if they are the result of a pitiful effort. On to the next one, and all of us will be watching

Yeah I watched the game. I watched Donovan drive half a dozen to a dozen times in the first half and get no calls. I watched tbe Rockets get a call on almost every drive.

We shot the ball better than them, had more points in the paint, had almost twice the assists, basically the same amount of rebounds and turnovers.

But yeah let's just keep pretending we played awful and that what happened didn't happen lol.

Don't get me wrong. We didn't play GREAT basketball. We didn't make our threes. We had some bad turnovers in key moments. Our perimeter defense gave up too much easy penetration.

BUT... we still played well enough to win the game. The free throw disparity was the difference

We've also had trouble getting Rudy the ball against them in the playoffs the last couple of seasons. Their switching defense really seems to mess us up.

Winning 19 of 21 games doesn't make a loss any easier to swallow, it still ****ing sucks.
