So You Jazz Will Tank The Game Against The Spurs

You know for a fact that Thursday night's game against the Spurs will be the biggest disgrace in sports history. The Jazz will tank the game in the most obvious ways. Conley will miss every shot, Gobert will claim he has Covid-19 again, Ingles will claim his uniform is in the wash so he has to fly back to Australia to get it....complete nonsense will arise from the Jazz in order to throw the game and allow the Spurs an easy win.

Now why are the Jazz going to do all that? Because they don't want to face this in the playoffs:

You know damned well that the Jazz do not want Melo The Jazz Killer and his super strong Portland team in the playoffs, so the Jazz will deliberately lose to the Spurs.
Disgrace

If we tank we also get a better draft pick, so maybe we are doing to get a Melo type player in the draft??? All things are Melo...

Jazz will probably play their starters for the first half and treat it like an intense scrimmage as a tune up. Then they'll put in their Summer League guys to ensure the loss, just like the Dallas game.

Thing is, if Portland or Phoenix doesn't lose a game, the Spurs will be eliminated from the postseason before our game even begins. They're dependent upon those teams losing.

But yeah, getting the #6 seed in the bubble is every bit as good as winning the #3 seed. So the Jazz get to try different lineups, rest guys, and improve their draft position.

They don't need Portland to lose necessarily. They just need the 9 seed.
Actually, I think the Suns do need Portland to lose....and, of course, Memphis to lose.
Remember, tie breaks are as follows:
#1 . win percentage
#2. head to head
those two are all that would come in to play

Standings now with one to go for each team:

8th Portland 34-39
9th Memphis 33-39
10th Phoenix 33-39
11th San Antonio 32-39

-- if Portland, Grizz, and Suns all win, the standings above remain same with the Suns still below Memphis and out because of season tie-break record going in Memphis favor over Suns. Suns would be out if Portland wins.

- now because of the extra game Portland plays, if they lose they would be 34-40 while Phoenix with a win would be 34-39 --- the better winning percentage is the first tie-breaker and Suns would be ahead if they win and Blazers lose
Port 34-40, win percentage = 45.95%,
Suns 34-39, win percentage = 46.57
that puts Suns in.

I'm rooting like hell for Melo and I would also like to see the Suns in. But I know Jazz are going to dog it and give the Spurs a win which could hurt Blazers chances.

Jazz are resting Gobert and Conley tomorrow against the Spurs per Tony Jones. Look for Bradley and Morgan to get significant minutes.
