These are things I see that need attention for the Jazz to win a championship:
Thank you all and I would love to hear your thoughts.
- I don't know who dubbed Royce O'Neale a defensive stopper. But if you have eyes and focus on O'Neale when he plays defense you'll see that the opposing player always blows by him. Jimmy Butler scored a season high in points this season and tonight with the Pelicans it is the same. He's a total liability. I don't see the value he adds defensively nor offensively. We can do better at that position.
- George Niang has to be one of the worst players in the national basketball association. He's completely out of shape, has a belly, misses shots from 2 feet away, turns it over, makes terrible and difficult passes, and has somewhat of a good game every 25 games. I don't know what Snyder sees in him.
- The Jazz offensive is 4 vs 5. They rarely involve rudy gobert and derrick favors in the offense. there have been thousands of times where clarkson or bogdonovich penetrate to the paint and the jazz center is completely wide open for an easy guaranteed layup or dunk. Instead they throw these crazy passes to the other side of the paint for a 3 point shot. I truly believe Gobert could be averaging 22 points per game if they gave him more opportunities and favors easily 15 points.
- It's a crime, it's a tragedy that derrick favors plays only 16 minutes per game. The guy is so talented but not only does he not get playing time but he never gets the ball. His points come from his amazing offensive rebounds or tip ins. The man even has a great shot from anywhere, he's really worked on it. He has extremely excellent skills and can catch the ball unlike sadly gobert. Snyder needs to involve him more.
- What will happen to the Jazz in the playoffs is exactly what happened in the Miami game. the games won't be blowouts in the playoffs but will come down to the wire and the jazz struggle in these moments as they make poor decisions and go away from the passing game to an individual game.
- And finally the worst thing of all. The jazz are awful at defense, starting with O'Neale. The guards put no effort because they know Gobert is back there and they are getting way too comfortable with that. Watch the guards closely on defense and you'll see what I mean. it's always a blow by and easy two if Gobert isn't able to stop them.
Thank you all and I would love to hear your thoughts.
