What's new

Following potential 2012 draftees

Works both ways. Barnes will also have a 2nd year of college to compare against Gilchrist's first. Having said that, Barnes has never been overly effective from 3. I DO, however, anticipate him lighting it up this year.

Barnes release, offensive fundamentals, and offensive versatility is about x1,000,000

Without a doubt. Another reason I'm on the Beal bandwagon. Although, a SF would definitely fit our needs better. But hey, there's no reason I can't hope for Beal AND one of the elite SF's heh

In this draft, this is exactly what you want .. I would LOVE to have one of;

Beal or Rivers (prefer Beal, by far)
One of the SF's we've been discussing

Now, if one of the PG's start to stand out, that changes things ..

Yup. Hopefully Teague pulls it all together, cause he really does have a lot of potential. And it's no secret that Cal has done an amazing job at getting his PG's ready for the NBA, so Teague could be a real possibility.

Fail.

Barnes release is x1,000,000
Offensive fundamentals are laughable compared to Gillie
Offensive versatility? You're showing your lack.

Barnes can score from anywhere on the court, in any way. Fundamentally he is about as solid as it gets. If Tim Duncan was a wing player, he would be Harrison Barnes.

The one thing I've seen that I didn't expect is how strong and physical Teague is .. he is literally hurting the guys he's defending.

That's good to hear. If he can fully utilize his athleticism on the defensive end, he could be scary.

Hmm...I actually kinda like this. Although, Barnes is NOT totally fundamentally sound when it comes to handling the ball, something that is undoubtedly necessary to him reaching his full potential.

Calling it like I see it. Barnes has superstar potential but is soft/weak/fragile. He needs to get tough.

Barnes IMO is more like pippin in that I don't think he will shine by himself but as complimentary piece.

Except Pippin was a player that made all the others around him better. I feel Barnes is pure offense. Gilchrist is much more of a team guy and making those around him better. I predict Barnes' shot falls this year and he'll go #3. My concern with Barnes, as stated previously, is his lack of mental toughness .. that's a tough thing to teach.
