2021 NBA Draft Preview (new thread)

did Cy really just say Kai Jones has every physical took Giannis has..?

sheesh thats why i have him on ignore hahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahha

dude hasnt learned a damn thing since we last clashed heads, im up crazy stupid amounts n still learning voraciously... this dudes perma stuck on stupid.

Is Cy gonna speak on the 23 year old grad xfer he advocated last year as a top 5 pick being banned from the league?

mr ****ing i wouldnt draft zach lavine cuz he likes cheif keef lookin *** logic **** 4 brains himself

My question for Cy is at what point did you realize Kai Jones has all the tools of giannis? hahhaa

cuz I've been here talking about Kai Jones since he was barely ranked in the top100, several years now...

My point is at somepoint in Cy's head Kai Jones goes from basically irrelevant to "same physical tools as giannis" I am interested in the chronology, the micro mechanics of how and when that shift took place..

Cuz i mean, thats where ur inaccuracy stems from... for sure... the flaws in ur method are right there in what ive described/isolated...

It's also basically impossible to predict the leap Giannis made.

I mean, a guy like Kai Jones has every physical tool Giannis has, but does anyone actually think he can be Giannis?

Giannis was a lottery ticket. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. But it's still worth playing the lottery.

Giannis had legit ball skills and body control that Kai Jones doesn't have though. Giannis is doing some young TMac-level stuff in this vid with the handles and passing...

Your three consecutive posts come off like you are a little butt hurt. Get over it.

We could have had Giannis and Rudy in the same draft. But instead we traded up to nab Trey Burke. FML

I think the Jazz were also targeting Kelly Olynyk if they didn't trade up. Once the Celtics traded with Dallas to draft Olynyk, the Jazz might have been forced to take Giannis at that point.

I still blame this on Ty Corbin 'needing a point guard' and Dennis Lindsey not taking the obvious high side pick at the time. We should have drafted for length (which was in vogue at the time amongst Dennis and the Bucks) and taken Giannis and Rudy at 14 / 17 instead of trading up. We would be NBA champions right now.

BTW the Jazz should prolly just draft Josh Primo..

You and I are on the same page for once. Kid isn’t a liability in any way. Can do a bit of everything. Looks natural doing it. Is long and fairly athletic. And doesn’t turn 19 til late December. To me he’s a rare low risk, very high upside player.

He's my pick as well. Very smooth shooting stroke. Plays with heart. I think he's going to be a very good pro.

I see no way he doesn’t become a 7th man or better in the league. He’s too talented. If he works his *** off and has good coaching, he could be a stud.

You put any high level athlete like a Giannis or kia Jones in that setting and they are going to look the same.

Im really in your head rent free

Basically my thoughts on Primo. I get why people like him, but it's way too much projection for my taste for a guy who only has good tools, not great.

You have so much to offer that I wish your focus on here was to provide knowledge and insight instead of trying to piss people off.

At the end of the day, we should all be rooting for the same thing.
Yeah, I put absolutely 0 focus in trying to piss people off.

All I do is give my opinions.

According to the Ringer, this is what Josh Primo is:

PLUSES
  • Good shooter off the catch with a high release and deep range. He also has the ability to hit shots on the move using handoffs and screens.
  • Shooting threat off the bounce using one or two dribbles to create room for his jump shot.
  • Intelligent offensive player with a feel for when to cut and how to relocate off the ball.
  • Active on-ball defender with great fundamentals and length who defends with his feet and not his arms, sliding laterally to mirror opponents and rarely committing careless fouls.
  • Hard-nosed player who fights at every opportunity, whether it be after a switch against a bigger player or in an off-ball situation when he must help in the paint then hustle back to his man.

So he plays hard, has a good feel for the game, hits 3's, plays good defense. His floor is a player like Royce, but I think he will be much better though. A great fit for our needs and long term with Don.

I wish that were true man.

Many posters watch these discussions from afar afraid to chime because they think they'll get attacked if they do. I'm not putting that all on you though.

We just need more positivity in here.

Floor is Royce?

You have got to be kidding me.
