With Boozer gone and thus the Jazz not paying him a starting salary of $13M next season, the $6.5M Harpring TPE becomes usable.

For example, Orlando could unload Gortat (6.2M next season) on the Jazz. The Magic are way into tax territory so losing Howard's seldom used backup would allow them to use their MLE or their own TPE to get a player they'll play more than 12 minutes. With Sap starting at PF, I still like the idea of Gortat as a starting defensive C (and sending post-injury Okur to the bench). Anybody for a Jazz more focused on defense?

Any other players that could fit in that TPE?
 
I think Orlando values Gortat a ton given how they matched dallas' offer last year. Beasley is very realistic since the heat are trying to add lebron.

A year can change a lot, ask Carlos Boozer. Gortat wasn't asking for a trade this time last year. Plus I think Orlando is starting to realize how retarded their payroll looks.

Gortat was a free agent last year and pretty much begged Orlando not to match the offer.
