What's new

Following potential 2012 draftees

You're listening too much to the nonsensical commentators. Only two things were exposed today. One was that any team can have an off game. The second is that UK has a lot of youth. Shocking.

Out two teams play 24 (TWENTY FOUR) games from now. Cake walk .. but a nice lil primer for the championship run.

^^ I say this (talkin' ****) just after posting we'll only be as good as Teague .. and it ain't lookin' so good. Anyway, best of luck to MSU until we meet .. then a beatdown of epicness.

Drummond continues to struggle .. 4pts, 2rbs, 0blks

I like the thought of Davis more than Drummond, but if Drummond slips I could see a Favors/Drummond combimation to be nasty.

The biggest problem that I could see is motivation............ and that goes for both of them.

Drummond and Favors just seem kind of redundant. I'm not sure which one has more skills at this point, Davis or Drummond.

So what combination do you like more, Davis/Favors or Drummond/Favors?

IDK. I have yet to see Drummond play at all. Davis right now doesn't have a lot of skills, but I can tell he has a decent IQ. His length is insane and his body looks like it has the potential to be KG-esque. He can handle the ball well for his size, but he still has no shooting skills (or at least I haven't seen them). He is shooting below 50% from the FT line, and has yet to make a jumpshot from the 3 UK games I've (partially) watched. UK defense is really good without Davis, but it is insane with him.

Drummond already has an NBA ready body, and then some. He is rebounding like crazy, and blocking shots like crazy. He seems to have even less of a shot than Davis though. He is shooting 25% from FT's and 40% from the field.

I would assume Drummond is a center because he is listed at 6'11 275 lbs, which is just ridiculous amount of size. That would slide Favors to PF. The amount of mass would just be insane.

I would assume Davis would be a PF, making Favors a center.

Hard choice.

From a pure size perspective, Favors and Drummond sound like a championship combo.

You have a great point about Davis. He seems yo have a high bball IQ. I honestly feel that Davis and Favors might be a better combo. I see Davis actually really devolping his skills.

I just wonder about Drummond. Basketball seems to be too easy for him and because of that he seems lazy on the court. Realistically, he should be dominating the competition.

Favors seems to have a work ethic and a fairly disciplined approach to the game.

Before the draft, Favors work ethic and drive were in question. From the sounds and looks of the offseason, he has proven that analysis wrong, but it was a huge concern.
