That joke makes a lot of assumptions in order to be considered a joke.

So I'm convinced I DGAF about the support of people like you who get turned off when racism gets called out. I don't know why you think I would want your support anyway. I'm not going to ignore reality so that I can build some popular base of support.

Black lives only matter when all of the protests are peaceful.

From my end, as you have properly observed, it was intended as a joke. I think the mostly white kids looting and burning as they chant "Black Lives Matter" is stupid. I don't believe it has anything to do with Black lives. I believe those who showed up to loot, burn, and fight did so because they wanted to. Even after you made your snide comment, which I will address more directly in a moment, I made clear that I was talking about the activities of those who showed up to destroy. And they did destroy. That is all they did. It so happens they were helping to destroy the BLM movement along with the cars and buildings.

Now let's talk about your comment. To insinuate that my objection to looting, burning, brick throwing, and graffiti is an objection to the value of Black lives requires that you see them as the same. Gameface, you are a bigot. There are Black people who do those things but the overwhelming majority do not. There are white people who do those things but the overwhelming majority do not. There are Asian, Indian, Hispanic, and people of Middle Eastern ancestry who do those things but the majority do not. It takes a garbage human to link looting, burning, brick throwing, and graffiti with being Black. I won't shed a tear that you don't want me in your club of racists.

I'll talk for 1000s hours about how guns should and should not be used. I enjoy technical discussion about firearms.

I'm a firearms right's advocate.

I just don't think firearms should be used for vigilante purposes. I don't think people should use firearms to embolden themselves to enter into confrontations they would have otherwise avoided.

I'm an advocate for responsible and reasonable firearm ownership.

Owning a firearm doesn't deputize you to enforce the law. Owning a firearm doesn't empower you to enter into conflicts you would have otherwise avoided.
