Take the "who will be back next season" thread from a different angle. Which guys do you want to come back, from the same list. Or enter a different one in the comments. Could include past players even (I would love to have Ingles back).

NOT a thread to discuss who you want to be ADDED to the team, like free agents or whatever. This is just of the current squad or past players maybe.

It's simple Rudy, one word, Jokic, in same division as the Two Time MVP it would be smarter to build around the best defensive Big in the game compared to a high volume chucker who plays no defense and always wants to blame others for the lack of team success. Donovans people were upset at Gobert talking about how Booker bought in to playing defense. He never even mentioned Mitchell by name but Dom camps took it as a Dis.. like I been saying build around international players instead of these spoiled American players. SLC is one of the best cities to raise a family but these American players are more worried about how many strip clubs are in a city. Build around players who are loyal like Gobert, and not unloyal spoiled players like Dom

Jared Butler... outside of that I'm okay if none are back... not that I don't want them off the team... I just don't have many guys I think I for sure want back under any scenario. Like House - I like him and am happy to have him back if we are keeping Rudy and Donovan and trying to build something. If we tear it apart by trading one or both it really doesn't matter if House is back imo.

Rudy/Don/House/JC/Whiteside/Paschall. Plus NAW/Juancho. I hate that House and Paschall are going to walk and be awesome somewhere else next year.

Quin and the roster besides Rudy and Don are the problem. There's no reason you can't build a contender around Rudy and Don, but they need to be
built around properly and they need a third guy around their level, like Jerami Grant or Tobias Harris (ignoring his contract.)

Tier 1: Gobert and Mitchell - if you have 2 all stars, you don’t get rid of them!!!
Tier 2: Bogdanovic and Clarkson - the only 2 that showed up in the playoffs
Tier 3: Jauncho, House and Paschall - all hustle guys that teams need and deserve consistent minutes
Tier 4: ONeal and Whiteside - ONeal shouldn’t be starter but should be on team; Whiteside is the toughness that Utah has been missing since Crowder was traded
Tier 5: Butler and Forrest - Young developing guys
OUT: Conley and Gay - bye, bye; Conley served his role and got his first all star bid. Gay is another Conley recruit (Green and Davis) that did not workout.

I prefer we blow it up, and In that scenario we should move whoever we can that would net us picks or prospects.

Since that doesn't appear likely, I went with the scenario that we keep Rudy and trade Mitchell (also seems unlikely).

I think Conley has a bounce back year and provides more value than we can get in a trade. He was really good for 2/3rds of the year and I'll pretend he looks better next to whoever we can get in return for Donovan.

With Mitchell gone we'll need Bogey to step up and provide more offense, which he's shown that he's capable of.

Royce probably has to go in that scenario as we'll need more guys that can create their own shot.

Clarkson stays, but I do find it funny that nobody wanted him in January. Probably have to live with his hot and cold streaks.

Gay stays unless you can package him in the Donovan trade. We can't afford to give up more assets to offload him. Maybe he looks better after an offseason to get back in shape after his surgery.

I don't really care if Whiteside stays or goes.

I like House and would like to keep him depending on the cost.

Listened to Tom Haberstroh on Checketts show...he said the same thing a lot of us have been saying, that he would choose to build around Rudy over Donovan. Said the Jazz will inevitably choose Donovan because he's the more marketable star. He thinks from a basketball standpoint Rudy is the better option, but from a business standpoint Donovan is the better option.

Trade Donovan for a godfather package of $1.25 on the dollar or trade Rudy for 60 cents on the dollar. Hmm… that’s a hard one.

Only one I care to have back is Rudy.

Not that I wouldnt take back Clarkson/Bogey/Conley, but I'd explore what you could do.

I'd really love to see what "marketable" Donovan has really done in terms of value added to the Jazz franchise.

I dont doubt he is more "Marketable" than Rudy, but is his marketability trending up? Things seemed to be going that way after year 2, but since then he's gotten less popular among general NBA fans and guys like Ja Morant have overtaken him in a huge way.
