Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I'd want something like:

Jazz: Collins, Hunter, Plumlee, #13, #16
Hawks: Gobert, Bojan
Hornets: Capela
Do that and then trade Conley and #16 for KCP and #10

Then trade Rudy Gay, NAW and #10 for Jerami Grant

WOW

Don
Hunter
Grant
Collins
Plumlee
Clarkson
Royce
KCP
Juancho
Doke
Butler
#13

Might be a contender

Throw Doke in that as well for any of those trades.

If you want to involve Charlotte I think they get Capela and Bojan... send Hayward to Atlanta... Plumlee and McDaniels to Utah. I think they send a pick in that deal or maybe you swap their future pick that Atlanta owns for the #15.

If we did this type of deal you can flip #15 or #16 with Mike for KCP and stuff + #10. I think you'd have a shot at finding something good with two bites at the apple... worst case when we rebuild those players can be part of the process. You'd also have a pretty clean cap.

Hornets won't want Capela's salary unless they can offload some... not sure why they give a lotto pick to do it. Salaries also don't match there. I think it is more likely Hayward or Rozier are involved if they take Capela.
They're offloading Plumlee's $10M and the trade works financially because they currently have cap space. What other starting C are they gonna acquire

The Hawks taking back Hayward/Rudy would mean they'd have to send out $68M in salary...

They don't have cap space unless they waive Bridges caphold (meaning he leaves) and then waive Oubre (only 5M guaranteed)... I'm guessing they like those guys more than Capela.

They still have 9M from Batum's waive and stretch on the books.

They will operate over the cap and can simply sign a center using a cap exception, draft a center, or trade for another center if they miss out on Capela. Plumlee is also fine as a backup... he's a $5M player so not a huge benefit there.

They also did draft Kai Jones last

HH has me ignored so...

Miles Bridges' cap hold is $16.2. That puts Charlotte's real number at $124 if they waive the cap holds of Montrezl Harrell and Cody Martin.

The cap for next year is $122 million.

For Capela ($18.2) for Plumlee ($8.5) to work, Charlotte will have to send a little more back.

They don't have to match perfectly. Can be a 25% delta... I think Huerter, Capela, and JC is close enough.

Andy Larsen said on the radio that it's his understanding that there is still a pretty large distance in negotiations right now between what the Jazz are asking for and what teams are willing to give up. He said negotiations may budge as we get closer to the draft, or the Jazz may wait until later in the summer to make any moves or possibly even wait until the trade deadline. Says Ainge will wait to make a trade until he can get the best value.
